It's 4:30am...

I think I'm too old for these late nights, or should I say early mornings? This is my third night in a row staying up till past 3am. The first night I was working, second night girl talk, and tonight we were in HB, where we started at church. The actor who played Jesus in the Passion movie was at my parents church sharing about his life during the filming of that movie and where it's led him today. It's amazing how the Lord works! He and a bunch of other actors created a CD of the New Testament. It's like the movie without watching it. He's currently working on the CD for the Old Testament. If you ever get the chance to see him, I'd highly recommend it. Oh, the newspaper people just drove by to drop off our Sunday paper:) I better stop the pumping and head to bed:) We have Softball and Celtics game later today.

Breakfast...Shopping...Lunch...Shopping...Coffee/Lunch...Shopping...

Today Amelia and I met up with Michelle and Auntie Sarah at Irvine Spectrum. There we walked and shopped and ate (Amelia a few times:) and walked and shopped. Auntie Sarah is teaching our little girl sound effects! Amelia very dramatic and loud around Auntie Sarah. She got her outfit for Sunday. It's green to cheer on the Green Machine softball team Daddy plays on AND it has a basketball on it for the Celtics! It says something like "Daddy's Team Player" on it too. It was on clearance. Oh and we tried the most cutest bathing suit on her! The thing was 12 month and after we stuffed her belly into it, she threw up a little lunch:( Needless to say we didn't get it. She did have fun trying on accessories, like the sunglasses! I Love Auntie bib, of course was a given, we had to get it! It was a wonderful day!

Celtics vs. Lakers.....Daddy vs. Auntie Missy!!!!

It went by so fast, it was all a blurr!!!!:) I crack myself up. I just love Missy's expression, even if it's a messy photo. She came to our neck of the woods for a rival dinner. Is that correct? Rival....anyway she loves the Lakers and Straty Loves the Celtics. Game 2 Sunday! Is there room for some White Trash in HB this weekend...I think we're coming!!!!

Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback on the blog and emails about crib, baths and such. The transition to the crib is more for me:) She's always taken her naps in the big crib and recently started sleeping the 8-11pm shift there as well. I'm sure she'll do just fine, the question is will mommy:) The things they create for babies!!! It's crazy.

Blaw Blaw Blaw...

That's how I feel today. We took our morning walk and lit'l miss Hazel May "drama queen" flopped on her side and wouldn't budge! She did this a couple times in our last walks. One time Straty was coming home from work for lunch and had to pick her up, because she was so tired. Amelia watched her Maple Tree for awhile today, along with the grape vines, which are producing grapes!!!! She spent time on da belly and playing with her jungle set. I think I need to get her blocks or something a little more exciting then what she has. She loves kicking her feet up in the air and reaching out for things. Any suggestions on toys for a 4.5 month baby? After all that business, she and the dogs took a nap upstairs while I vacuumed the upstairs. Amelia likes to sleep on her side, like the dogs. If you click on the picture, you'll see she's sleeping with Miss Bunny and there's a big ole CAUTION tag stating don't let baby sleep with object.... Hopefully that's the only habit she picks up from them:) I cleaned the nursery top to bottom today, mentally preparing myself for her move. I don't think it'll happen tonight, since I'm feeling blaw blaw blaw!!! Amelia had her bath tonight and totally had me laughing. She outgrew her baby tub, so we moved her to the kitchen sink. I was still filling up the sink when she reached out for the running water from the faucet. She was so excited about. Then she started splashing around! She was having a ton of fun. She loved the running water over her belly. She's fast a sleep right now. God is so amazing...I prayed over her, like I normally do and every time I end with "Jesus Loves You Amelia, Jesus Loves you." She melted my heart with this big ole smile tonight. Her life is such a blessing! I love her so much. I'm off to the store!

Is mommy ready for her little girl to sleep in her crib?

Nope, No-way no how, not a chance, not really, NO.....So the time is coming (ok, so it's time) for our little Amelia to move into her own room. She's starting to out grow her bedside crib in our room. I just don't think I prepared myself for the move. I love knowing she's sleeping safe and sound next to me. That if she's having a bad dream, I'm right there to comfort her. Or if she's lost miss bunny, I can place her safely back into her arms. The things she does in her crib next to me, I'm sure she can't do alone in her own, like sleep with miss bunny or have a blanket, or so I think????? Can babies sleep with a blanket or a security bunny? Is it safe? I'm really asking...I better read up on this. She likes to sleep on her side, is that okay if she's alone? Does she have to sleep in the thing that keeps them on their backs, so they don't suffocate? So many questions...I just love her to pieces! Tonight we as an entire family, Indi in his stroller, Hazel and Miller and Amelia in her stroller walked to the park. Straty shot some hoops as we sat in the grass. It was a beautiful evening and great family time.

Daddy's Cheerleader

It was a full cheering section yesterday! The whole family came to the ballpark to cheer Straty and the team on!

Happy Birthday Angela!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Beautiful! This friend of mine is a very special and unique friend. I thought I'd never be like her, but you know what I hope I can strive to be the caring and compassionate woman and friend she is, and I hope to be the gentle and patient mom that she is! Angela has been my kindred spirit the past year. When ever I was feeling down, out of control, fat and fearful about my pregnancy, she called. It was crazy! I'd go to pick up the phone and call, but decided not to because I was being silly and sure enough, by end of day I would have spoken to her, because she called! Her soul must of sensed my pain and connected on a level I can't ever explain. Still, to this day, her calls mean the world to me. She's always been a wonder to me, a good and challenging one:) I always knew there was something amazing about that girl. Through the years I've seen that amazement shine. She's real with me, good and bad, and I appreciate it. Sometimes I see things just black and white and she adds the color. Sometimes I see thing with blinders on and with Christ as her reasoning can take down those blinders. Her talents to take a fabric and make it into something so pretty, or to take a long strand of yarn and make it into something that keeps you warm, or to sooth and welcome you by the presence of her home or gees even on the road in an RV!!!! She never gave up on me in my times of protecting my feelings or my fears of friendship! I thank you beautiful!!!!! I love you probably more then you'll know, because I'm so bad at saying so at times. You have helped me be the friend I am, the wife I am and the mommy I am. Your feelings are genuine your friendship is real to me. Even miles a part I think of you every day and thank God for you! I love you beautiful!!!!

Happy Birthday Great Grandma Inez

Great Grandma to Amelia turned 92 yesterday, June 1st! In honor of Grandma I dressed Amelia up in purple:) I'll never ever forget the time my grandma walked off an airplane in ALL purple! Purple pants, shirt, socks, rain coat, jewelry! My grandma was always into the bling bling. She loved her shoes and jewelry. She has such a spunk about her, even in her onory age of 92. She has a voice of an angel and a heart of pure gold. The last time I saw her, she was so precious and so innocent. Her hands so soft, her hair a shinny gray/white, her smile still fought to come out. Oh grandma I miss you so. Getting old I feel traps you. That's the only think I could think of saying...you're in an earthly skin suit a great pastor once said. I can't wait for the day she's dancing and singing with Christ. She's still here of course to love, but her health is shady at times and she has demensia. To me, she'll always be the sweet tooth grandma with tang, popcorn, ice cream...the one with the bling-bling and the pretty outfits. I love you Grandma!!!!

She's so much fun!!!

The new sounds she's making, the sucking in and out of her lips, her fake cough (thanks Auntie Sarah), her long winded coo's, Oh I love her to pieces!!! Even at mom and dad's bible study farewell party, she was perfect! She did though ask Auntie Sarah what was exactly on her toes, because she really likes her toes!!! She's a hoot!!!!

Oh and BTW...Grandma is a bad bad Grandma!!! That night I came home with at least 5 new outfits...wait let me re-phase that...Amelia came home with at least 5 new outfits!!! She's in big trouble (Aunt Connie, bite your tounge!:) Anyone want to spoil me? We just had a wonderful evening with Carolyn, Jim, Cliff and Terri! Yeehaw!!! We're already planning Stagecoach next year...jacuzzi, beer on tap...ooodles of fun. J&C are RV'n it like we did last week in front of our house. It's so cool, they're going on an 8 week road trip to NYC. They sold their home and are liv'n where they wish, ocean front, farm...cross the US!! Have a great weekend!
