Amelia hit 4 months yesterday! Today she had her shots! :( She brought Miss Bunny and Lui and Mike for support and courage. She's a trooper though! Is there any other moms out there who have this same question..."Does the doctor really mean what he says, or does he say it, knowing it makes you feel good and to every mom that comes in?" He said we have a perfect baby girl. He also said we had no idea how lucky we were that our little girl sleeps as long as she does at 4 months old. She goes to bed at 8pm, we wake and feed her at 11pm and then she sleeps till 8am sometimes 7:30 or 8:30am. He said Amelia is off the charts! She's 26 1/4" long, weighs 16.5 pounds (perfect for her length) and I forgot the head measurement. I told him she eats about 6-7 ounces of milk 8 times a day. He came back with OH she's definetley ready for solids! Daddy is setting up the highchair tonight and we're having our first bowl of cereal tomorrow morning. She'll have that three times a day along with the bottle. I'm going off of the "Super Baby Food" book Auntie Sarah bought me for Christmas. Her friend Kristina purees all of Jessie's food. When I heard that, I thought she was Super Mom! I have to give it a try. Just the nutrition for Amelia and the money you save is worth it! Time is nothing! Now It's make the food, feed the baby then pump! Cool!!!!! Doc said was surprised Amelia was rolling over. Is that really a surprise? She's done it twice. She tries and tries and then gets a little frustrated, ok a lot frustrated:) Hummmm where does that come from? It's funny because I think we're behind in growth and then we have a great check up. It's like bonus day with a raving review!!! My job is totally worth it:) After we came home, Amelia and daddy laid on the putting green and gazed at the trees. Then we went for a walk. We were walking along the golf course and Miller sniffed out a golf ball, then I found one, then Straty found one and low and behold, Hazel found one!!! It was crazy. I read today in the Super book that each baby is different and grows in different ways at different stages. We're just thrilled she's healthy and happy! Can't say the same for mommy with bad wrists and feet! I love every morning hearing her in the baby monitor laughing when she wakes up. It's like there's angels around her crib telling her jokes or giving her kisses. I go into the bedroom and she's laying there with big smiles all over her face. We change her diaper w/o too much fuss and then she watches her bottle being made. She's a smart cookie! If she's on my left shoulder she'll lean back and look towards the kitchen sink to make sure mommy is running water for her bottle warmer. After her bottle she stays awake for awhile and plays! She's sleeping less, taking power naps and playing more. It's delightful! Will we be so lucky with a second baby? This weekend we celebrate Hazel Mays B-day. I was out of town when she turned two. We're going to get her doggie cake (really small thing) tomorrow. The shop loves to see Miller and Hazel! We can't forget our first babies:)

Mom I can't believe you're laughing at the cow licking my foot!!
We had fun at the Farm yesterday with Auntie Sarah! When we got there everyone seemed to be sleepy. The pigs didn't even budge when we stopped by to visit. There was one very hairy sheep and a pretty calf that paid special attention to Amelia. Kinda like that cow that was hot for Garth in Pismo Beach:)xoxoxo This little calf was sniffing around Amelia's foot and then all of a sudden she licked her. Amelia had this look like hey mom, you kiss my feet, but this thing is actually licking me feet!!!!! It was fun. There will be new piggies arriving 8/21. See you at the Farm.
