Last night Jenny was off to see sugarland so i decided to see a concert of my own. Fountain Valley had a free one that happened to be blues and r&b so off the three of us went to picnic in the park. Amelia loves to dance after listening to about 6 songs she decided it was time to get up and dance so she did to my delight what a beautiful and rythmic little lady. She had so many people watching and smiling. I had to get baby brother involved, up we went all three of us dancing so much so amelia didn't want to go so we stayed until the sun set and the music stopped thank goodness that was at 8pm or i would have never gotten her home for bed.

July 4th 2010

What a great day that started with a 7am 5k run which i sadly went backwards from last year a minute but overall had a good run with my brother-in-law, Drew. Then back to the homestead where the kids were all decked out in the red white and blue to head off to the HB parade, which is suppose to be one of the largest parades west of the mississippi, where we met up with the Kasterko's, Johnson's, Miller/Penner's and Mckown's it was so cool seeing all the kids sitting on a blanket watching the parade go by and the reactions to the old fighter planes flying over head. Thank goodness it was overcast so it didn't get to hot because we were there for almost 3hrs then back to the home for a family fried chicken fest and games in the park. The big hit was the golf ball toss game gary picked up for 20 bucks we had many competitive games but my favorite was twice jenny and i came from way behind to beat Krista and drew. i do have to say jenny is a very aggresive thrower with that cannon, she could have lead the usa softball team to gold as a pitcher:) after 6 hours of fun in the sun and an amazing fried chicken dinner that the colonel would be jealous of we headed off to the johnsons to walk down to the beach and see the fireworks. This is always fun but tenuous because i have a child that doesn't like the loud boom booms. and i'm not talking about amelia, jenny-amelia loved them and wanted more and more. Fireworks daddy more fireworks even after the 30 min display over the ocean was done she wanted more and got it when the party poppers were broken out. now i thought this might frighten her being so close to the noise while before at the display they were far away but she couldn't get enough of it throwing the little explosions about-this has got to be the hadjiyannis blood in her love of all class d explosives. We finally wound the night up around midnight had to get in a full 4th of course.
