The tradition continues!

We welcome baby boy Stephanos Straty Hadjiyannis!!!

It's a........

Baby!  We have a healthy baby!  I am going to tell you the gender when I have permission!  Mom and baby are doing amazing!  Only 30 minutes of pushing this time!

There is laughter and joy!

Push it!

So pushing is just beginning!  Hopefully the next one will be an announcement!

Baby has dark hair!

Everyone is doing well!  Oh my!

9531

What is this number you ask?  Dr. May just let us know that Jenny is his 9531 st mommy.  He has delivered over 12000 babies!  Can you believe it!  His first baby that he delivered turns 41 this year.  All this to say...Jenny is in good hands!

Baby is down well!  They have restarted pitocin to hurry along and move the baby down!  So, she is feeling pressure, but has not started pushing yet.

Nurse has predicted a 3:12 delivery.  She predicted this an hour ago, so we'll see how accurate she is!

Drop the baby

Dr. has not returned yet.  Jenny is feeling pressure and a contraction.  She is cold, which we will remind her about when she is asking for cold compresses and ice chips during pushing.

She looks very content, dosing off for a moment or so.
Straty just read us interesting facts from the iphone.  Did you know that you can't cuss on a golf course in Long Beach.  He will no longer be golfing there.

We are waiting and hoping that baby will drop on its own.  It was still up high last time Dr. was here.

We are listening to music that Drew made.

Amelia is up and Uncle Dean is trying to interpret her words!  She will be off to the McKowns soon so Uncle Dean can meet the little one!

My mom just announced that she is bored :).  We are emotionally excited to meet the baby, but there's not a lot going on in this room!

Keep you posted.

9.5 and counting

Jenny is 9.5 cm dilated now!  Jenny is happily drugged and prepped for the delivery.  Sterilized bassinet is ready!

Dr. will return around 1:45pm and access if it  is time to start pushing!  We can't believe it!

Once again the conversation has return to names.  This time Krista is trying to figure out the boy name tradition.  If its a boy then the boy will be named after his grandfather.  The tradition switches the names and skips a generation.  A Hadjiyannis may update on this!

So...Mom, Dad, Krista, Straty, Angela and I are just chilling and waiting still!  Such an exciting time!

Amelia is still sleeping.  Its hard work preparing to be a big sister!

I am getting internet on and off so please don't panic if you don't here from me in a while!

love ya!

PS:  Straty is hoping this is all over by 4:57 to watch the Phillies game!  Okay, he says he can wait:)

And the waiting begins!

Auntie Sarah here... So mom and I just arrived at the hospital.  Jenny just received her epideral. Her water has been broken  She is dilated to 4cm and the guess of the Dr.  is that baby will be here around 2:30pm.  It could be sooner or later, but that's what the guestimate is!

So, while we are waiting let's talk about the weather.  It's a beautiful day here!  The sun is shining and the air is crisp!  A perfect California fall day!

Mom, Dean and I took Amelia to Breakfast in the PArk this morning.  Amelia walked with a spark in her step.  She would pause at driveways to pick up people's newspapers and hand them to people or take them to the door.  She tickled us with sticks and said "ready, set, go" so that we could make her jump high!

Breakfast was yummy and then we fed the ducks!  During the duck feeding we received a text saying that we should head over cause things were moving quickly!  We walked back home, put Amelia down and mom and I were off!  Uncle Dean is home with Amelia alone for the first time!  He is so excited to help and spend time with his niece that he adores!  Pray that when she wakes she is happy and at peace with him!

Back to the hospital...We are discussing baby names.  If its a girl, there is still no definite name yet!  Oh my!  We'll see!
