The new sounds she's making, the sucking in and out of her lips, her fake cough (thanks Auntie Sarah), her long winded coo's, Oh I love her to pieces!!! Even at mom and dad's bible study farewell party, she was perfect! She did though ask Auntie Sarah what was exactly on her toes, because she really likes her toes!!! She's a hoot!!!!
Oh and BTW...Grandma is a bad bad Grandma!!! That night I came home with at least 5 new outfits...wait let me re-phase that...Amelia came home with at least 5 new outfits!!! She's in big trouble (Aunt Connie, bite your tounge!:) Anyone want to spoil me? We just had a wonderful evening with Carolyn, Jim, Cliff and Terri! Yeehaw!!! We're already planning Stagecoach next year...jacuzzi, beer on tap...ooodles of fun. J&C are RV'n it like we did last week in front of our house. It's so cool, they're going on an 8 week road trip to NYC. They sold their home and are liv'n where they wish, ocean front, farm...cross the US!! Have a great weekend!

That's it!!!!!!!!!
The following persons are on shopping restriction. If you choose to violate this order you will loose 1 hour of Amelia time per visit! The Grandma, Auntie M, Yiaya and Auntie Sarah. Sure go ahead, use the excuse that you bought it a long time ago or you couldn't resist!! It won't get you very far ladies! I've just spent the past 3 hours organizing my daughters room. I need to do that to my room, but my closet hosts only a few outfits, where as Amelia's closet was bursting out onto the floor, onto the ottoman, in the guest room. I've organized all the drawers and closet space! I did 5 loads of laundry yesterday and two loads were hers! Although I have greatly appreciated your generous gifts, pretty girl will be the best dressed 6 month old this summer!!! She's only 4 months now and she's wearing 6-9 month clothes! Some 6 month clothes went into the bin. She has lots of party dresses too and she's always up for something fun:) Good thing we have a few this week! Maybe she can be like Reba and change dresses during the event? Anyway, I'm exhausted. She only took one nap today. ONE!!!! It was on our walk. We took a 2 hour walk around the neighborhood with the dogs. The dogs were pooped! Amelia though, that girl is a hoot! She's smak'n her lips in this weird way, playing with her mouth and loves, loves, her feet! She especially loves when mommy puts her (Amelia's) foot in her mouth! When I walk up to her, a foot always raises for kisses. What happened to kisses on the cheeks? She loves her highchair and the fun gadget that plays music. She's doing really well at cereal. Next week I think we move up to Oatmeal. I better start studying the puree food menus! It'll be here faster than I know it.

White Trash Camping...
Hello! We did a little white trash camping last night and will be doing it again tomorrow night. We parked Goldie in front of the Johnson's house, yeah as it was raining! We bbq'd and enjoyed the rain under their patio cover. Then in the wee morning hours we headed to our tin can. We all laid there (Me, Straty, Amelia, Indi, Hazel May and Miller Lite) listening to the rain. It got stronger and louder!!! It was fun though. We woke up at 7 for round 1 for Amelia's meals, then passed out and woke up at 9:45am for round II. We took a walk around the neighborhood and then returned for breakfast burritos!! Yummy cheese:) The the four of us, the baby and two hounds loaded up in the truck in search for homes:) Anyone have a million to spare? It was sooo perfect. Hanging out in the rain and coming with your own bedroom. Goldie is still there tonight as we headed to Brandon and Clair's for a b-day party! I love our upcoming artist!!! She's a cutie. Tomorrow we'll be heading back to HB for another night of White Trash camping. Watch out...we may be headed to your neighborhood!!! OH BTW...don't you love the cap? Thanks KK from the S! I LOVE it!!!!

Look, I'm a strong kid!
Amelia is enjoying her belly time. She's able to lift her head all the way up, Yeah!!!! I was getting worried with that big head of hers, if it was possible. She's so funny, because she grunts each time she's lifting her head. Then she swings it back down for a rest. Last night, while at dinner with dad, she would work so hard at looking up at him. So precious!!!!

Not so much Mom!!!
Well last week Amelia started cereal. At first she wasn't too interested, but she's getting used to it. She likes to suck it off the spoon. As a parent, the things we do for that mouth to open! I wish everyone could see her baby talking right now, oh her trying to scream! Those like Sarah B, we'll be in HB this weekend. Look for a bright tin can trailer parked along a street. We're just going to hop around town. We'll be filming our movie "three dogs and a baby." Amelia loves to practice sitting up. Every once and awhile we'll get a roll over. Sometimes she just likes to stay on her side:) She's a cutie! I love being at home with her and taking care of her. Toodles....

"You have no idea just how lucky you are with this 4 month" says Doc
Amelia hit 4 months yesterday! Today she had her shots! :( She brought Miss Bunny and Lui and Mike for support and courage. She's a trooper though! Is there any other moms out there who have this same question..."Does the doctor really mean what he says, or does he say it, knowing it makes you feel good and to every mom that comes in?" He said we have a perfect baby girl. He also said we had no idea how lucky we were that our little girl sleeps as long as she does at 4 months old. She goes to bed at 8pm, we wake and feed her at 11pm and then she sleeps till 8am sometimes 7:30 or 8:30am. He said Amelia is off the charts! She's 26 1/4" long, weighs 16.5 pounds (perfect for her length) and I forgot the head measurement. I told him she eats about 6-7 ounces of milk 8 times a day. He came back with OH she's definetley ready for solids! Daddy is setting up the highchair tonight and we're having our first bowl of cereal tomorrow morning. She'll have that three times a day along with the bottle. I'm going off of the "Super Baby Food" book Auntie Sarah bought me for Christmas. Her friend Kristina purees all of Jessie's food. When I heard that, I thought she was Super Mom! I have to give it a try. Just the nutrition for Amelia and the money you save is worth it! Time is nothing! Now It's make the food, feed the baby then pump! Cool!!!!! Doc said was surprised Amelia was rolling over. Is that really a surprise? She's done it twice. She tries and tries and then gets a little frustrated, ok a lot frustrated:) Hummmm where does that come from? It's funny because I think we're behind in growth and then we have a great check up. It's like bonus day with a raving review!!! My job is totally worth it:) After we came home, Amelia and daddy laid on the putting green and gazed at the trees. Then we went for a walk. We were walking along the golf course and Miller sniffed out a golf ball, then I found one, then Straty found one and low and behold, Hazel found one!!! It was crazy. I read today in the Super book that each baby is different and grows in different ways at different stages. We're just thrilled she's healthy and happy! Can't say the same for mommy with bad wrists and feet! I love every morning hearing her in the baby monitor laughing when she wakes up. It's like there's angels around her crib telling her jokes or giving her kisses. I go into the bedroom and she's laying there with big smiles all over her face. We change her diaper w/o too much fuss and then she watches her bottle being made. She's a smart cookie! If she's on my left shoulder she'll lean back and look towards the kitchen sink to make sure mommy is running water for her bottle warmer. After her bottle she stays awake for awhile and plays! She's sleeping less, taking power naps and playing more. It's delightful! Will we be so lucky with a second baby? This weekend we celebrate Hazel Mays B-day. I was out of town when she turned two. We're going to get her doggie cake (really small thing) tomorrow. The shop loves to see Miller and Hazel! We can't forget our first babies:)

Mom I can't believe you're laughing at the cow licking my foot!!
We had fun at the Farm yesterday with Auntie Sarah! When we got there everyone seemed to be sleepy. The pigs didn't even budge when we stopped by to visit. There was one very hairy sheep and a pretty calf that paid special attention to Amelia. Kinda like that cow that was hot for Garth in Pismo Beach:)xoxoxo This little calf was sniffing around Amelia's foot and then all of a sudden she licked her. Amelia had this look like hey mom, you kiss my feet, but this thing is actually licking me feet!!!!! It was fun. There will be new piggies arriving 8/21. See you at the Farm.

Happy Mom's Day
Happy Mom's Day!!!! I can't believe today I actually celebrated mom's day! It was very strange. I still of course wanted to celebrate my moms life, because she is one woman worth a million! Mom thank you so much for being the amazing mom that you are. I now understand that special bond between a child and mom. That love like no other. Amelia being my first as I was yours I can see how special that can be, with all of "the firsts." (Sorry Sarah and Krista:)xoxox) But that very first breathe and look into your eyes. The first smile that melts your heart, that first coo that you feel was only created for you to feel like the most special mom in the world! Or those two little chubby feet sticking straight up in to the air awaiting for many kisses and a "pewee." Ah I love my little girl so much! Just these past 4 months have gone by so fast!!!! To Mom Hadj, thank you for coming out here to see your baby grand daughter. She loves you so much. Thank you for raising the most wonderful son! I love Straty dearly. Your kindness, gentle heart, compassionate and chef material talents shine in him. Love you moms!!! Today was a wonderful day!!! We had brunch. Ok so Straty had us put our fav' fix'ns into a zip lock bag and then we boiled it!!! YUMMY The omlette was warm. Thank you Amelia for my lovely heart shaped locket with photos inside!!!! Thank you friends for the lovely flowers and all the cards!!!! You all made my first Mom's Day so special!!! I hope you all had a wonderful day being a mom or celebrating yours. xooxo

Yiaya spoiled Amelia yesterday...
Yesterday was a very busy day! Besides the several wardrobe changes, thanks to poopy pants, we have an adventurous day! We started off at Baby's R Us where Yiaya did a little shopping. So did mommy!!! I had to ask Amelia that morning to hold off on any poopy pants, till mommy got diapers. She was such the good little girl. After shopping and getting her diapers, we went to Red Robin for lunch. During lunch Amelia let it rip in the diaper, oh and up her back all over her outfit. I carried a stinky baby to the bathroom! After lunch, we stopped by Straty's work. I picked Amelia up out of her car seat and low and behold I felt something sticky and warm!!! Another outfit!!! It was that stink'n HAPPY onesie! I even asked her at lunch not to soil this one. She always did in the past and I was hoping not this time... wrong again. So Amelia go a new mobile with great lights, sounds and flowers, along with the mirror thing that has animals. It's pretty cool!! Thanks Yiaya!

Yiaya is here....Yiaya is here!!!!!
Today we were very excited for the arrival of Yiaya! Amelia put on her fancy little outfit, mommy made the welcome sign and daddy made the chauffer sign:) It was a family welcome! Daddy wasn't going to be joining us during the pick up, but decided to surprise mom. We waited at the bottom of the stairs. Once Yiaya was spotted, I turned on the video camera. She didn't even recognize Amelia. Yiaya was so excited to get her suitcase so she could see her grand daughter, she didn't realize she already was looking right at her. We'll keep you posted on our adventures.
