Wedding of Vinnie and Keri

Straty was best man for Vinnie and Keri's wedding last night.  He took joy in his role and supporting one of his closest buddies.
The Happy Couple......

Straty making one of his crazy toasts.  Which was really good.  Amazing, even in a toast he manages to compare golf is like marriage.
I got to do a reading during the ceremony.  Wouldn't you know, with my luck as soon as I stood up from my seat, my shoe strap broke, leaving one shoe drag behind me as I started to walk, since the other strap was still attached to my ankle!  I walked tippie toe to where we were to stand and read.  I read and then tippie toed back.  I couldn't believe it!  Thank goodness many didn't notice, and that I had an extra pair of shoes in my purse!!!  Yes, my purse is that big!  Then I got to say a blessing/prayer before dinner.  How is it I had two speaking roles.  I can barely make a good conversation:)  I was honored.  I met the clergy who did the wedding.  We realized that I did a few ceremonies with her husband.  She gave me her card and insisted I contact her if I ever do One Fine Day by Jen again.  She'd put me on their international blog and allow me to give weekly advices to brides as advertisement for a while.  I thought that was pretty cool!  Some day I will be J Lo again:)  I'll have my bridal tool belt, my fun suits and crazy shoes:)  But for now, I'm lov'n my boss.  She's not a bridezilla, like a few I've married in the past.

And may they live happily ever after....Congratulations you two!  Thank you for allowing us to be apart of your special day!

What's new with Amelia?

Rock Star Amelia....She's wondering if lead singer is her role, rather then drummer.  I think she's going for both:)  The other day she was going back and forth between the two bathrooms to drum on the toilets.  She dances her hands above her head and sings, then creates her own beat on the toilet.  She's also into drumming this ginormous box her new toy organizer came in.  She'll purposely hit the box in different places, to create different pitches, if that's the right word.  She loves music!!!

One morning Amelia watched Miller drink from his bowl.  She just stood there and watched and probably was thinking, "man he makes a lot of noise and a huge mess with those big cheeks!"  Anyway, she went to the Tupperware drawer, grabbed herself a bowl and started making loud gulping noises, as if she was a dogie drinking water.  It was the cutest thing!  What an imagination.  So many changes, so quickly!  About three weeks ago she started "No, no, no."  It's really cute the way she says no.  Sometimes a little dramatic:)  That same week, she had an MJ moment and started moon walking.  Her attempt at walking backwards, which she now has down.  Then the following week, she realized the could turn in circles or turn around.  This past week, Amelia's room finally became hers and not mommies room.  I moved the her rocking chair and a cabinet out of her room, giving her space to play.  We also got a toy cubby organizer to put some toys in.  Lastly, I hung a mirror with hooks, so she can play dress up with her sunglasses, bracelets and hats.  She loves putting on her fake lipstick and an singing in the mirror is her favorite.  She even figured out how to make noise on her mirror shelf.  Our little girl is growing so fast!  She's learning to take care of others, like feeding Miss Bunny.  Giving her lov'nz, and making sure Miss Bunny does not feel left out.  She's such a loving girl.

Baby Hadj II on the other hand is making quite the mess of my insides.  Tonight she tried moving my ribs to make more room.  Wasn't happening!  It's so strange sitting there and feeling one part of the body hitting the top of my tummy or rib cage and then getting kicked in the kidneys or bladder in the lower part of my belly and then a jab in the side.  I'm hoping they checked to make sure there were two arms and two legs, instead of eight.  I'm feeling so much more!  Besides the really long baby, the cramping and ripping of the insides is such a pleasure!  There's so much I'm wanting to do, but am lacking the energy.  I think the heat is doing a number on me!  It's ridiculous how warm it gets in the house!  We live by the beach, really now!  The ocean breeze was hitting the side of the house which we have no windows at this evening.  I'm not knocking our house.   I love it very much!  Just wondering how to get JT to bring some cranes over to pick up the house and turn it a bit to get more of that breeze:)  We saw an open house today, which was the original floor plan of our house.  3 bedroom, 1 bath.  ONE BATH!!!!!!  I figured that though.  The kitchen was so much smaller and wasn't connected to the dining room at all.  There was a breeze way between the garage and kitchen.  Our house, they got rid of it and pushed the kitchen, attaching it to the garage.  In our house we have a master bath.  They had pushed out the front wall about 10' or more.  The master bed at the open house was the size of our first guest room.  Plus, there was no living room like we had, the dining room was really the living room.  Anyway, we are very blessed to have our lovely home.  Now if we could knock the heat and get rid of those fires!

Bubbles in the Park last night.

We are so lucky to live where we do!  I was watching Amelia play last night and got a little sad knowing that behind each one of those gates is not a family with kids her age or kids even within 10 years of her age.  Heck, I don't even see them come out of their gates let alone their front doors.  Anyway, it was wonderful to open up the arched door and play for a bit.  Thank you Lord!

Visit at Auntie Missy's house yesterday

Don't look now, but there's some scary lady passing out cigs n' cigars behind me.  She has plastic hair!  I'd really love another shot glass from Vegas Baby!!!!

29 Weeks Today....

Seriously, I can't even lean over the slightest bit to type on the computer right now or I good ole kick in the belly button.  I really don't think my tummy can take much more growth!  This little Hadj II is very active.   He/She dislikes anything around my waste, well the part under the huge ball in my tummy.  I either have to hike it up like Erkle or tear it so it's hanging like the boyz from d'hood.  If only I had funky skull boxers or something.  Anyway I had a little freak out moment yesterday after I typed 11 weeks left!  Holy smokes!!!!!!!  The mind went crazy of all the things I want to get done.  Instead we're heading out for some camping.  Labor Day we're camping with our God Family at Quail Creek.  I love it because Jack's Music Show is Amelia's favorite and her "God Cousin" is named Jack.  It's a little confusing when I say we're seeing Jack and she runs to the living room.  After Labor Day weekend, Straty was able to find a place to camp in Napa!!!!  I'm soooo excited.  I have been envisioning Napa and couldn't imagine going anywhere else.  Now that our Dog sitters are married:)  We have to keep the dogs in mind when traveling.  This is perfect, because we can take the dogs, go on small hikes and they don't mind the trailer while we partake in some artsie cool stuff.  Plus my favorite store, NapaStyle, well the owner's store and restaurant is up there.  He's Micheal on the reality show Master Chef's or something like that.  Anyway, I'm excited.  Today we went to Auntie Missy's new pad.  Amelia was throwing back the shots in her Auntie's Vegas Themed house.  She loved all the Vegas decor:)  Tonight after our very own Master Chef Straty prepared another wonderful dinner, we went to the park to use our new bubble maker.  We bought it last night at the downtown street fair on Main St.  It was really windy, but fun!  Amelia had a blast.  I'll post photos tomorrow.  G'nite.

Doctor update

I passed an EKG I took yesterday.  Nothing abnormal with the heart.  They did order some blood work. If things look "off" then they're going to order a manual EKG.  Doc says being prego wacks your entire system up!  Wow, who knew:)  Anyway, I also passed my Glucose test.  Prego Doc was amazed how it shot up the first hour as high as it did and then went to complete normal.  He's says I'm normal, if that's really possible.  I love him....he put the baby heart thing on yesterday to hear the heart beat and get the rate.  It was 140 at first, then he poked the belly and we watched the heart rate go up and up!  152, 157 ....... He said that's what happens when you scare the poor baby.  They live in a dark bubble and have no idea what's poking them.  I laughed because I do the same at home and Straty scolds me.  So, all is good.  Baby is great, I'm as good as it gets and now the countdown continues.  11 weeks!!!!!!  I have till end of September to go anywhere.  6 weeks prior to due date, 11/4, I have to stay within one hour of home.  We're trying to plan a short Babymoon, before Baby Hadj II arrives.  I'm really shooting for Napa or something of the sort, where as Straty is looking at Colorado.  Colorado of course is amazing, but doc says I could be sleepy the entire time, due to altitude.  Wait and see where we'll be in September!  xoxox

Sunday........what another great day!

Sunday, man oh man, what a weekend!  To top it off, we ended our weekend with some oh so yummy food: Grilled chicken stuffed with homemade pesto (basil from the garden), sun dried tomato and mozzarella cheese!  Tossed Angel hair with olive oil and herbs!  After that we walked over to the park to enjoy a New Orleans style band playing in the park.  We brought along a berry mix, biscuits and whipped cream for desert.  Amelia loved the music.  She was clapp'n and snapp'n her fingers.  We love where we live!

Saturday YEEHAWWWWWWW

Saturday we chilled at home.  We walked to the park, picked up some Pumpkin Bread muffins!!!  Fed the ducks and came home and relaxed.  Straty made an incredible dinner!!!!  That night Grandma and Grandpa came over to watch Ame as mommy and daddy went to see Trace Adkins and Tobby Keith.  I LOVE Trace!!!!!!  He's a pretty sexy dancer:)  I love how my husband takes me to see my men, knowing he's the one I come home to at night!  xoxox  Mike Ness and now Trace.  Thanks Babe, even the the traffic sucked the evening was wonderful!  Love you.  Speaking of LOVE, the look on my husbands face is a man who truly loves his girl.  I've seen that look at time or two:) xoxoxox

Friday at BabeTown

Friday night we made our way to BabeTown for a fabulous BBQ from Mr. R and yummy homemade fries by the Mrs. R.  It was cool to sit in the living room, eating dinner and looking around realizing our family was complete.  Meaning, the girls were all married.  Not complete by chitlins!  Ame needs cousins:)  No rush though!!!!!!  That night we also placed our bets on Baby Hadj II.  Hands down Boy, except for myself and Auntie Krista!  We have to keep the faith:)  We have to find a girl name too:)  I know I've already lost!  Dr. told me yesterday that I could induce day of due date if I wanted to, this being my second baby, the rules change.  He's the one that told me I'd most likely be late and bet November 8th.  He can't seem to make up his mind.  He also informed me Baby Hadj II is weighing about 3.5 pounds and will start to increase .5 plus per week.  WHAT!!!  I'm 75% done, 29 weeks into prego and 11 more to go...WHAT!!!!  Oh dear, it freaks me out when it's on paper!  Babe, we need to get organized.  Oh Amelia picked girl too!!!!

What a busy weekend! It all started THURSDAY....

Straty found out that Panda Kung Fu movie was playing downtown Main Street.  We packed up the SAAB, stopped by KFC, picked up Grandma and headed to the beach.  Grandpa was there and later Auntie Sarah and Uncle Dean joined us.  They even had a band playing music beforehand.  Ame was all over that!  How amazing it was to watch a movie at the beach!  Amelia brought her Panda and had fun cuddling up with him during the movie.....

Shuuuzzzzzzzzzz Lot's and lot's of shuuuuuzzzzzz

and then some! Thanks Grandma!!!!!

Amelia told Grandma she couldn't live without the Gynormeous panda bear!  So while I was looking at clothes next door, Amelia got a bear and came walking into the store with it!  Those two, you can't trust them alone.  I have a shopping buddy like that....Garth!  We are forbidden to shop together:)

Oh and when we got home, lit'l miss opened each box of shoes as if it was a gift!  Ooooo'n and ah'n.  As if she'd never seen them before, as if they'd never been slipped onto her feet...ok Cinderella.  Such the drama princess.  Oh and bear had to be there with her.  I wish I had taken a photo of her sitting in his lap, his arms draped over her shoulders, swaying back and forth as Daddy walked into the house.  "Look at my new buddy daddy.  We're best of friends."  I do love how she tends to Miss Bunny.  Offering her binkie, sippy cup or the best...lov'nz.  She's going to be a great big sister.  Tonight at dinner as we celebrated Auntie Sarah's job, Amelia showed off her big ole belly and then lifted up everybody else's shirts to see their belly's.  Indecent exposure party of 6!  Food was yummy!  If you're a local HB, you gotta go to Flight on Beach and Adams.  Half off menu items till 7pm.  Today was another great day!  Tomorrow, not so much.  I'm taking my 3 hour glucose test!!!!  Great, what can I do for 3 hours in a stink'n Quest bldg??  I'm going to plan the new decor for Ame's room, then they layout of the Master bedroom, then hit the guest room.  Doc said to relax and keep my feet up, but never said anything about my brain:) Babe, get ready to flex those muscles.  Monday I get to see another doctor about the good ole heart.  I had another odd feeling tonight.  As if it was clogged for a second then painfully shot something through something, leaving my heart pounding extra hard.  I also get to see my baby doc on Monday.  It's shot time!!!  Why'd I get funky blood?  Gee, getting poked and probed will be so exciting!  It's worth it though.  Gotta make sure this little one is growing safely in d'belly.  Better hit the hay!  xoxoxo

What a day we had!

We started off with a lovely walk in the park.  We met a lovely lady from France.  After a nap and lunch we headed to Fashion Island for some fun.  Daddy met us there!

Amelia couldn't get enough of water today.  She came home and needed to water her garden.  For some reason she put the hose to her ear.  Daddy made amazing burgers and zucunni.  Amelia ate it up!  We ended such a wonderful day with another walk in the park.  We are so blessed.
Miller was exhausted:)

Photos from my other camera

Amelia, Jack and Aubrey enjoying a yummy snicker doodle and joy ride on the ponies

Amelia got a new snack box.  She looks all grown up and ready for school!!!

Amelia loves eat'n spaghetti!
