Breaking News...first tooth has hit the surface!!!

Sorry folks, no photo. The tooth is a little camera shy. I thought though I'd share the news, our baby girl is getting her first tooth! I was starting to wonder what was wrong with my happy baby, since the last two days she was upset for no reason, until today while walking on my feet in the flooring showroom, she looked up at me "look mommy I'm standing so tall" with a big ole smile on her face, did I see the pearly white peeking out of her gum. I think the one next to it is planning to pop up too. Stand by for future sightings:)*

It's amazing to even see the proud parents with their children! Happy Birthday beautiful Ava and mommy! You two girls are so special to us. We look forward to many fun adventures and yummy parties! Love you!

A day of Amelia...

"That's it, I'm going to Grandma's" is her sporting new onesie, given to her by guess who? I bet though Amelia is feeling that way when we get the realtor phone call, mommy running around like a chicken with her head cut off, hiding things in cabinets, vacuuming the house in record time (they should make it a sport in the Olympics) and then loading dogs and baby in car...

Please tell me the foot fetish is not back!!!!! I thought she outgrew her toes!!!! They seem to be her favorite thing to suck, pull on and lick. Silly girl.

Amelia's Baby Dedication

September 7th at FCC-HB at 10:30am we are presenting Amelia to the church and to commit ourselves to the church and God to raise Amelia according to God's standards. A Baby dedication is an opportunity for us to thank God for the precious gift of Amelia, and to publicly declare our intentions to raise her in a Christian home. We are thrilled to be dedicating Amelia in the church I was raised in as well as the church we will be attending in HB. Bruce, the Pastor is who married us. He's a wonderful man of God.

We have to send in a photo of Amelia, so what better way then to have a photo shoot:) I have a TON of photos!!!!! She's such the perfect model. I do love taking pictures. Sadly, I've reached maximum capacity on my computer, so my favorite is still stuck on my camera:( Stay tuned...

Toys, lots and lots of Toys!!!

Amelia got some cool new toys this weekend from Grandma and Grandpa. She's funny to watch her play with them. She likes to inspect the blocks, by chewing on them, giving them a rating in her own jibber jabber way and them tossing them behind over her shoulder. When I went to clean up her toys, she had the blocks piled up behind her back. She's a silly girl. This morning she didn't want to lay down to watch her morning show. She knew she wanted to sit up and play with her blocks. She was very excited! I love her surprise face she gives! Now she has started making bubbles with her slobber. If only she could teach Hazel May and Miller Lite to do the same! Final walk thru inspection is today at the Park Place. Still needing a buyer for RSM. Keep pray'n! Things will slow down a bit, due to people taking their last summer trip and preparing for school. Buy mid September they should be pounding at the door with cash!!!! Right Lord? xoxoxo

A trip to Old Orange

Sunday we avoided yet another Open House. We met Auntie Krista and In N Out in Tustin and then headed to Old Orange. We walked around, doing some "window" shopping. Amelia had her first tumbled in the stroller. It scared the mommy to tears!!!! I think mommy shed more tears then she did! She's a big girl, thank goodness. One of us needed to be strong:) The International Food Festival is coming up in two weeks! We've already picked the streets of food we'd like to walk down. Mark your calendars: August 29th weekend.

Phase 1 of Fall Y'all

As most of you know, I'm a fall fanatic! I LOVE the fall. Maybe because my favorite color is orange? Yes, honey, it still is:) I have a gallon of Pumpkin Spice Benjamin Moore paint I need to paint somewhere:) So August is when I bring out the grapes, the dried grape vines, the eggplant and green fabrics to drape around the house, more wrought iron and the wonderful scent of Mulled Wine from Illuminations. September I add a harvest touch with mums and such. October I did it last year and plan to do it this year, but go white and black! I love that look. November turkeys, feathers and so on......Well, due to the move, I have neglected my fall decor. I actually got rid of a lot of decor. Not just for fall, but I wiped out Easter and St. Patty's Day. Downsizing is tough my friends:) I have decided though to go more green in decorating:) It's so easy to do so for fall though, and you don't have to store it in the garage! Use candy corn in vases with a yummy vanilla candle, lots of pumpkins and gourds, acorns, oh and a few mums and corn stalk. Take a trip to Idylwild and collect the big pine cones or have connections with people on the east coast who can send you lovely fall leaves. Mom and Dad, don't forget mine on your yearly trip to the east coast! Replace your framed photos with seasonal photos from last year. Oh, did I tell you about the new scents at Illuminations? So word to the wise, you always try to burn a sweet and spice or warm scented candle at the same time. For the summer, I love gardenia and lilac. For fall I love mulled wine and pomegranate and for winter...well this year the new scent Cinnamon bark and vanilla. I usually go for chestnut and pumpkin. Lighting is huge for decor. I love to get the new light bulbs that have the amber tent to them. Not it's not green savvy, but oh so pretty! Spend the extra $25 and put a dimmer switch on some of your main lights. Or you can stalk up during Christmas will all of the cool light gadgets. Last year I bought this 3 switch remote control. I have two lights on the piano hooked up to one, the champagne rack and the Christmas tree. With the touch of a button I can turn them on and off. In the nursery I have the pedal plug switch for the two scones I hung on the wall. I didn't have to pay to have electrical boxes installed into the wall. Anyway, I'm rambling. I could go on about decor. It's so easy to do. Even if it's just your dining room table or entry, welcoming you home. Decorate!!!!

OH NO Papou the market is down!!!!

So I was working on the computer this morning with Amelia sitting on the desk. She proceeded to pull the camera wire out from my computer. I thought it would be best to put her in the chair and play with the keyboard. I started asking her if she was being like Papou and playing with the market. Her first response was shocking. Then I asked her about Putts and Calls and she stuck her tounge out and banged on the keyboard. Must not have been her lucky day in the market:) She's still learning.
