10 years of Bliss

Yesterday was our TEN year wedding anniversary and my hubby out did himself. Even though he knows how much I dislike surprises, he carried on and pulled off an amazing evening. Every 5 years we vowed to renew our vowels. Our first 5 we did in New Orleans and our 10th was going to be Greece. Due to our wonderful situation, Baby Hadj II, we were left with no adventurous renewal. Straty though took us through some customs of a German wedding. SHHHH, but he planted a tree in the park, which Germans due when having their first daughter. When she marries, they cut the tree down, sell the wood for her wedding. The our guests broke old china in the fireplace and we (mainly Straty) cleaned up the broke items as a symbol of good luck and never having anything broken in our home again. Oh and the Germans also believed pre-wedding was to create a wedding newspaper by friends and family of the bride and groom. They'd sell the paper at the wedding reception to pay for the expenses of the honeymoon. I thought was really cool to see all the photos and stories, but also realizing I created the same thing, more of a pre-wedding update newsletter when we were actually getting married. It was also custom to have a flower girl, but no bridesmaids, which was perfect role for Amelia. She was soooo cute and surprised us with little things she did throughout the night. The funniest thing, which I thought would put me into labor, was seeing Bill at the end of the isle standing there ready to remarry us. I just about died or tinkled! Although I was shy, yes shy, don't like to have attention, I like to be behind the scenes, it was wonderful to have such an amazing support system and to fell how much love surrounded us. Also to feel the most incredible love of all, the love from my husband. Not only did he put together a really cool newspaper, organize the German traditions, he also made an oh so YUMMY dinner! He's my jack of all trades. Thank you babe for a wonderful evening! I love you completely and forever. There's no-one else in life I'd rather be with! It's corny, but true, you complete me. You've been my rock, even when I thought you couldn't possibly understand. You've been my cheerleader, when I thought I was doomed to fail. You've been my team player in life the past 10 plus years and life itself would not have been as fun, as crazy, as intense, as loving if it wasn't for you. I love you!!!!!

Baby Hadj II Report

Well the doctor's appointment yesterday was pretty exciting! First, they rescheduled me to yesterday since doc had a er surgery Tuesday. They didn't have my rescheduled appt down, so I sat there listening to them chat about what to do with prego??? Finally one of the girls recognized me in the lobby and asked if I was here to see the doc. Doc and his nurse left the office already, so she took my info and went in search for the doctor.....He arrived and knew I was DONE. Done being prego. If they'd left me in the room much longer, I may have taken a nap:) Anyway, he asked what my ultrasound due date was and I said October 28th. He went on stating this baby was done as well, and if the due date was the 28th, it wouldn't be safe to wait until November 10th to induce. After the exam and a little "rotter rooting" (is what he called it), he informed me I'm strongly dialated at 2 cm, 90% effaced and baby was a 3 negative. With all the information, doc said he's changing my due date to 10/28 and if the hospital has a spot, would like to enduce me on the 29th. So if I don't go into labor this next week, which is a 30% chance, then Baby Hadj II will be here next Friday, October 29th. The Hadj Family will be home Halloween day.

With that, I'm in full force of getting things done! I arranged the guest room last night and put the closet on the dining room table. I have tons of money in suits sitting on the table, plus a wedding dress and Kincaide. The room looks pretty cool though. We also added a couple pieces in our room to accommodate baby. We're excited!!!!

Shaker and a Mover....

This little one sure is gett'n her groove in the d'belly! Tomorrow I head off to the doctor again! 1:40pm. What will doc say? Well I'm definetely hitt'n rock bottom, in a good way. Meaning, I think we're getting closer!!! My body is feeling more pain, more swoleness, more tiredness, more nesting and more anxious!!!! We were suppose to be in Greece this week!!!!! Straty and I vowed every 5 years we would renew our vowels. Due to life changes...it went from Greece, to Nan Tucket, to Las Vegas, to something up Straty's sleeve. Friday is our TEN year wedding anniversary!!! I was just admiring my sexy babe today. I'm so proud of him in so many ways. The way he's a daddeeeeee to Amelia and how you can see her melt is heart. I love he wears his emotions on his sleeve, because those moments of his love for her are priceless! The way he is taking care of our family any and every way he knows how! The amazing meals he prepares. I love our time as husband and wife and mommy and daddeeeeeee! Walks in the park, QT after 8:30pm and the afternoons on the weekends just hang'n out. I love you babe!!!!!! I can't believe we'll have a foursome soon! Watch out Pelican Hill CC, here comes the Hadj's!!!

Oh, I have photos to post of the pumpkin patch, but will have to work on that tomorrow.

Doc Update....BAby Hadj II

Saw doc today. I shocked him. 80% and 1 cm. He's thinking end of the month. I think my doc is a tease. First I'll be late ten days, then October 28th, the November 9/10, now "not next week, but this month." What does that mean? He thought I better be ready. Did you know no kids under 16 are allowed in hospitals? They even asked me not to bring Amelia to my check ups if possible, for her own safety. He also strongly urged the three of us to get flu and swine shots. We're both sooooooo against it, I don't know what to do. Ame's doc is out of them. All I know, this baby wants to see the world. She is rock'n and roll'n right now! Better get a nursery going or something?????? Pack a bag??? Make arrangements??? I'm so not myself with this one. Not event planned! Time to cowboy up and create an event!!!!

She's crazy!!!!

We made use of our lock down at home during potty training. Amelia decorated fall rice krispy treats with icing/frosting. She went wild! She did very good at potty training. We did escape last night and went out for dinner. We did hit the restroom twice while we were out. Sadly, Amelia starts to cry when she starts to pee on the toilet. She holds it and holds it and then gets so sad when she goes. Pooping, no problem. Strange, but we'll keep at it, making revisions and starting new things. Love that kid!!!

Potty Training Weekend....

This weekend we attempted potty training. It was a crazy experience. We decided to try this 3 day weekend approach, where she's just in panties and a T for the weekend. I had potty patrol and Straty had clean up. Amelia did pretty good. When mishaps happened she'd get so upset and put her hands out like "why mommy" "what is happening to me?" I even cried with her in the bathroom at one point. She's so innocent and I hated making feel like something was wrong with her. We got a little stir crazy and started doing funny things, like run way model with daddy's beanie. She's so cute!!!!!

Happy Oktoberfest!

Last weekend we went to Old World for a bit of Oktoberfest. We had tons of fun!
