She has her mommy's nose...inside and out

Oh no!!!!!! Amelia has Stinky burgers!!!!!! Doc says she has a sinus infection. GREAT!!!!! May have allergies, but too soon to tell. We're heading to the drug store, then to babies r us to return the graco video monitor. Don't ever buy it!!! It static ticks. I count and become crazy!!! Hopefully we'll find something else. After that we'll head to Red Robin for my birthday burger. Yeah tomorrow I turn 36. My goodness!!!! Time flies by so fast. No big plans. Hanging out at home work'n on the house:) Someday I'll actually clean the garage. I have every good intentions but I don't. I think 4th of July weekend I'll do it. I do know when I do it, watch out...EVERYTHING will go. I'm at the point in my life I don't need to hold on to every piece fabric, barbie toy, high school photo and so on. Amelia will enjoy me sharing my life and my memories, not a bunch of year books and old letters. It'll be spring cleaning in 104 weather!!!!

Coughing baby

Sorry, no photos:( Amelia has been a little camera shy. Ok, not really. Mommy is a slacker. I took photos of course, just haven't posted any. We had a great weekend. Nice and relaxing Saturday, laying around the house, avoiding the heat!!!!! Yesterday we were in HB for church and softball game. Yeah Green Machine won again! Next weekend we are camping near Solvang. Amelia though has caught a nasty cough. She's going to the doctor this afternoon. Hopefully it's nothing big. She's totally happy though! She's so great.

Our Baby Girl moves out into her own crib....:(

I'm sitting doing my motherly duty as my little Amelia sleeps. She just finished her 11pm feeding and is sweetly sleeping. She had woken up around 10:30pm crying due to a bad dream. Can babies have bad dreams? She first started whinning and we ran up to see if she was okay, but she was sleeping and frowning. Then as soon as we settled back downstairs she started crying again. She's so precious. We got the video monitor. Those things are a little loud!!!! I had to take the ticking clock out of her room, so I could sleep with the monitor on. I count to things that tick in my sleep. One of the photos is of her taking her nap. I think I better get her those things that cover your eyes when you sleep during the day:))))

So, does it just break your heart when you're eating your food and your baby reaches out for the spoon or glass? Amelia I think is ready for food. Yesterday over breakfast, while sitting on grandma's lap, Amelia reached for Grandma's spoon and her beverage. She's been doing that the past week. I was sitting on the couch with her and she wasn't even on my lap when I took a sip of my water and she opened her mouth and grabbed for it. Hummmmm I grabbed the book and it stated it wasn't a good idea to give water to a baby until they are 6 months old. But my baby I thinks wants the water. Better call doc. I did give her the cup. She held on tight, tipped it into her mouth and stuck her tounge in the water. We tried a couple more times and she actually took sips. During our errands today we picked up a sippy cup. She gave it a try. I think she likes the cold glass on her hands and water??? Tomorrow it's church and softball!

"I Saw God Today"

George Strait stated in an interview...'I Saw God Today' is such a well-written song . . . It means a lot. Sometimes we take a lot of things for granted, especially anybody that's had a child. When they first see that child -- if they're in the delivery room or not -- it truly is a miracle. And you just realize that all of these things that God has given us . . . sometimes you just take for granted. But if you just step back and take a look around, you'll see what beauty we have around us in the things that He has created for us.

I realize how much Amelia is a miracle and I never want to take her life for granted. She teaches me so many things, one especially is to slow life down and smell the roses. Watching her experience things for the first time, or her realizing she can laugh, smile, move an object, kick her feet, lift her head, squeal ah so many wonderful things. I praise God everyday for our little girl. A true miracle!

She's such the helper, helping Auntie Krista pack her jewelry:) She loves bling bling!!! A true Hegenbart trait. Her new friend Drew though took bling bling to a whole new level! :) After all the packing toots took a snooze in Auntie's bed. Toots is her new nick name due to her toot'n! Stinky toots!!!!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Dad!!!! YEAH CELTICS!!!!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Dad! Amelia and I met Dad for a birthday lunch celebration. After lunch we took a spin on the carousel. I love the photo with her. It's as if she's saying "mommy don't look now, but there's a really big tiger with a really big mouth behind us." Amelia had fun hanging out with grandpa and playing with her green balloon. We love you and cherish your life! After a great time with Grandpa, Amelia and the gang walked to the golf course with Daddy to watch him hit some balls. A long the way I found 4-5. Nothing to yesterdays 20! There was a tournament yesterday:) Anyway, it was a warm walk, but fun! Amelia coached her daddy! Speak'n of coach'n, HOLY SMOKES!!!! The Celtics were on fire! There was no stopp'n them! Player 50 was a crazy man!!! They all played hard tonight...what a game. Straty said it's a shame the Patriots lost or Boston would have had three titles this year. That would have been something.

Straty's 1st Father's Day...

We had a great time on Father's Day! It took us a full day to re-coop! Straty's softball team won!!!! Sadly though is basketball team didn't win. Tonight though!!! Watch and weep Missy!!!!!!

Happy Fathers Day!!!

It's Straty's first Fathers Day! What a happy day. We're going to church with the family, then head to the field for Straty's softball game, then BBQ, then Celtics will win the basketball game tonight! It'll be a fun day celebrating the amazing and wonderful Dad's in our lives! Happy Fathers Day babe. I love watching you with our daughter. How your face lights up when you walk into the room and see her. Or when she smiles at you. I love when you lift her above your head and she opens her mouth for daddy kisses. How cute the two of you look as your reading the Sunday paper or sports magazine. Your dedication to her is no other then the love of a daddy for his daughter....Speaking of...Dad Happy Daddy's Day! I love you so very much. You mean the world to me. The special times you've brought into our lives, the trips across the US or country or even to the park or beach. The way you made us feel so loved with the special daddy dates or making each event in our lives seem so amazing. I think you're crazy for all the photos you taken in our lives, capturing wonderful memories, but now I'm crazy! I love watching you be a Grandpa. "Hi Honey" sometimes lingers after we leave you and it warms my heart. Thank you for everything. For being the best Dad and for being you. God blessed my life through you. Dad H thank you for raising such an amazing and loving son. I thank God everyday for his love and support. I have no doubt in my mind how much he loves Amelia and I. His passion to ensure our future is secure and full of great adventures. His heart is made of gold! Thank you and Happy Fathers Day! Love you. To all you Dad's out there...Happy Father's Day! Uncle Ted...Love you!

Auntie Sarah had the pleasures of feeding Amelia her first oatmeal. Amelia turned 5 months yesterday. She's growing sooooo fast! She enjoyed her times with the Aunties:) XOXOX

She's so smart! She can read!

Amelia has started reading! I just wish I knew what she was saying:) We read a book after her first morning feeding. She likes to unwind before taking her power nap. Today she was going on and on with the sound effects, plus all of her facial expressions. I think the last one is a true example of how the three girls feel when our dad would always take pictures of us. I kinda get it. Especially at this age, but at 30 plus...really? Love you dad. Anyway, she looked up at me and the picture tells all. She loves the camera and the telephone. Today, like yesterday, she rested a bit. We tried our normal mid morning walk, but it ended quickly, due to our stubborn Hazel May. Hazel refused to move another step without a 15 minute break laying on the grass watching the traffic. I think we'll have to leave her home for the long walks, or get a wagon for her and Indi. Great, a stroller, a wagon and good ole Miller. He's now at the point when we are heading back home, I let him off his leash so he has a little freedom. He'll get behind smelling the bushes. I love watching him run to catch up. His ears flapping in the wind and his checks flying all about. He's such a cutie. Amelia loves the 4pm stretch till bedtime. She's so funny, listening to her make her noises and facial expressions. She plays with her toys, pets the dogs, reads the magazine with dad and in shock that the Celtics lost! or may even take another walk, all 6 of us! Tonight she went on and on. We love her so much! She's so much fun to watch and play with.

Uh-oh what happened to the Celtics?

No fear...they'll pull through. Straty got to see the whole game! He didn't get kicked out with his style of cheer leading. He was warned by the usher to tame it down, and had ice thrown at him. Those evil Laker fans:) Well our little cheerleader Amelia is not wanting the bottle. She likes her food. Hummm where does that come from?:) Anyway doc said no excuses, she must have her bottle. Even if she has to go a few days without cereal! She's doing so well at eating. Every time she wants a bite, she opens her mouth breathes in and sighs. Yesterday she weeble wobled while sitting up. She's trying though! We're working on her core muscles by doing some S Factor warm ups late afternoon on the bed. She likes my "warm up" voice. Probably because she remembers it from when I was teaching up till she was 7 months in my tummy. She started to curl her tongue and flap her mouth open and closed like a hungry fish in the aquarium. Her hair is growing, by the strand. Meaning there are about 10 strands that are an inch longer then the rest. She got the cutest tennis outfit with shoes and the greatest onez. I Love NY is printed all over it. Auntie Krista will love it I'm sure. Thanks Cousin Stephanie and Voit.! I hope our East Coast family is staying cool and our Midwest family is staying dry! My goodness the weather is so strange. It was 81 at home and then overcast in HB today? Just 30 minutes away from each other and totally different skies.
