Her finished product

I totally forgot we made Jello!  So we busted out the pan and finished.  Amelia took her decorating very seriously.  She totally mutilated the Jello.  It was fun watching her get so excited though!  OK, that's enough for tonight.  The ankles are throbbing.

Wednesday night Sunset

Jack, Aubrey and Angela came down for the night.  We had a great afternoon hanging out at South Coast sniffing out the yummy smell of COOKIES!  Our noses led us straight to them!  Amelia discovered the Snicker Doodle and LOVES them!  Straty made an amazing NY Steak dinner sprinkled with our new Garlic Gray Sea Salt seasoning, corn on the cob and baked potato rubbed with our new Garlic seasoning rub.  Yes, we made a stop at Napa Style where James gave us some yummy delights.  Jack gave James a few tips for his next trip to Bakersfield.  He's just like his daddy!  I loved watching him chat it up with the store manager!  After dinner we raced to the beach to watch the sunset.  We forgot the hot chocolate.  It was incredible evening.  Amelia loves the time she has with her God Cousins:) Today we woke up and went to Alice's for breakfast.  Then fed the ducks and took a nature walk through Shipley's Nature Center.  Can you believe we let Aubrey be our tour guide again Jack!!!!  What were we thinking, a pond, with water in it:)  It was a bummer to watch them go.  I had so much I wanted to say to you my friend.  I think we're in for Labor Day!!!!!  When we put the chitlins down, I'll bring the Zin James had us taste and we'll sit by the fire.  xoxox.  Good Luck Jack in State!

Tuesday night Sunset...

We took a quick trip to the beach to watch the sun set.  God is good!  We all loved watching the sun set and the moon rise, along with the airplanes or "Dairs" in Amelia's vocab.  Then we'd wave at them wishing them a great flight.  It was so refreshing!

Ameila making finger jello on Wednesday

Amelia was in rare form Wednesday.  She refused to put her clothes on after taking a dip in the pool.  She all of a sudden got the urge to run circles in the dining room and kitchen, then up and down the hall.  She just kept going and going.  Finally I came up with a way to keep her energy going into some fun for the both of us...

We made finger jell-O.  She loved stirring.  Don't worry it wasn't the boiling hot jello water.  She had fun stirring up nice cold water and splashing it all over the place.

Amelia got into Mommies make-up bag...

She loves to put on lotion, brush her hair and her teeth.  Such the purdy girl.

BTW....

I have a lot of catching up to do, I know...but we're enjoying some major family time:)  The countdown has begun for the arrival for Baby Hadj II.  It's been such a different pregnancy and has flown by so fast!  Right now we're spending some QT with our Godchildren.  It's been so much fun!  I can't believe in 3 months we'll be a family of four.  I feel a strong desire to spend the next 3 months focusing on Ame and spending time with her.  I know our lives are about to embark on another amazing journey, but why not enjoy the three of us until then.  We aren't out of the clear for weddings though...Straty is the Best Man to Vinnie this month.  I've just been asked to read at their wedding and help out with day of timeline and arrangements, which means a lot to me. Details...  A HUGE must to me:)  Weddings can create the biggest monsters sometimes.  I still remember reading my SOE.  I had the pore souls lead off with the right foot and to smile.  Yes, it was on paper:)  Almost TEN years ago!  It was the prison guard in me that was the wedding drill captain.  We watched Bride Wars last night and it hit a lot of emotions.  I could see myself doing that wedding planner stuff again.  I loved wearing the wireless and speaking into the radios.  I did that as a prison guard too:)  Oh...and the suits and the fun heels!  I'd buy a special suit for the high end events, to match the event.  That's why I have a red suit, orange suit and several different black ones, still hanging in my closet.  I look at them and can remember the event so clearly.  Or my blue pin stripped from Ann Taylor Dad bought me on one of our WW and Maggiano nights (xoxo)  I better stop, I could go on forever.  I've been in a bad funk lately pondering if stay at home mom is what the Lord really wants for me or if I'm good enough for the job.  I'll spare you the details, no woe is me or playing the victim, it's all with the good man himself.  The whole sharing is caring is BS for me now.  I think there are people out there that feed off of your sharing/weakness/whatever and to empower themselves.  I'm done.  See bad funk.  Just breathe.  I can't wait to get back to S.

Sorry, here's a link for wedding photos

Yesterday was Auntie Connie and Uncle Art's last day in Sunny CA.  We went to one of our favorite stomping grounds, Old Orange.  Later that evening we had dinner Downtown HB.  It was wonderful having spent time with you two!  Aunt Connie, you were amazing with the flowers and ran a tough ship!  xoxox
