Happy Fathers Day!!!

It's Straty's first Fathers Day! What a happy day. We're going to church with the family, then head to the field for Straty's softball game, then BBQ, then Celtics will win the basketball game tonight! It'll be a fun day celebrating the amazing and wonderful Dad's in our lives! Happy Fathers Day babe. I love watching you with our daughter. How your face lights up when you walk into the room and see her. Or when she smiles at you. I love when you lift her above your head and she opens her mouth for daddy kisses. How cute the two of you look as your reading the Sunday paper or sports magazine. Your dedication to her is no other then the love of a daddy for his daughter....Speaking of...Dad Happy Daddy's Day! I love you so very much. You mean the world to me. The special times you've brought into our lives, the trips across the US or country or even to the park or beach. The way you made us feel so loved with the special daddy dates or making each event in our lives seem so amazing. I think you're crazy for all the photos you taken in our lives, capturing wonderful memories, but now I'm crazy! I love watching you be a Grandpa. "Hi Honey" sometimes lingers after we leave you and it warms my heart. Thank you for everything. For being the best Dad and for being you. God blessed my life through you. Dad H thank you for raising such an amazing and loving son. I thank God everyday for his love and support. I have no doubt in my mind how much he loves Amelia and I. His passion to ensure our future is secure and full of great adventures. His heart is made of gold! Thank you and Happy Fathers Day! Love you. To all you Dad's out there...Happy Father's Day! Uncle Ted...Love you!

Auntie Sarah had the pleasures of feeding Amelia her first oatmeal. Amelia turned 5 months yesterday. She's growing sooooo fast! She enjoyed her times with the Aunties:) XOXOX

She's so smart! She can read!

Amelia has started reading! I just wish I knew what she was saying:) We read a book after her first morning feeding. She likes to unwind before taking her power nap. Today she was going on and on with the sound effects, plus all of her facial expressions. I think the last one is a true example of how the three girls feel when our dad would always take pictures of us. I kinda get it. Especially at this age, but at 30 plus...really? Love you dad. Anyway, she looked up at me and the picture tells all. She loves the camera and the telephone. Today, like yesterday, she rested a bit. We tried our normal mid morning walk, but it ended quickly, due to our stubborn Hazel May. Hazel refused to move another step without a 15 minute break laying on the grass watching the traffic. I think we'll have to leave her home for the long walks, or get a wagon for her and Indi. Great, a stroller, a wagon and good ole Miller. He's now at the point when we are heading back home, I let him off his leash so he has a little freedom. He'll get behind smelling the bushes. I love watching him run to catch up. His ears flapping in the wind and his checks flying all about. He's such a cutie. Amelia loves the 4pm stretch till bedtime. She's so funny, listening to her make her noises and facial expressions. She plays with her toys, pets the dogs, reads the magazine with dad and in shock that the Celtics lost! or may even take another walk, all 6 of us! Tonight she went on and on. We love her so much! She's so much fun to watch and play with.

Uh-oh what happened to the Celtics?

No fear...they'll pull through. Straty got to see the whole game! He didn't get kicked out with his style of cheer leading. He was warned by the usher to tame it down, and had ice thrown at him. Those evil Laker fans:) Well our little cheerleader Amelia is not wanting the bottle. She likes her food. Hummm where does that come from?:) Anyway doc said no excuses, she must have her bottle. Even if she has to go a few days without cereal! She's doing so well at eating. Every time she wants a bite, she opens her mouth breathes in and sighs. Yesterday she weeble wobled while sitting up. She's trying though! We're working on her core muscles by doing some S Factor warm ups late afternoon on the bed. She likes my "warm up" voice. Probably because she remembers it from when I was teaching up till she was 7 months in my tummy. She started to curl her tongue and flap her mouth open and closed like a hungry fish in the aquarium. Her hair is growing, by the strand. Meaning there are about 10 strands that are an inch longer then the rest. She got the cutest tennis outfit with shoes and the greatest onez. I Love NY is printed all over it. Auntie Krista will love it I'm sure. Thanks Cousin Stephanie and Voit.! I hope our East Coast family is staying cool and our Midwest family is staying dry! My goodness the weather is so strange. It was 81 at home and then overcast in HB today? Just 30 minutes away from each other and totally different skies.

Whew, what a busy weekend! Amelia is still re-cooping from all the fun we had. Sunday, we were in, where else, but HB!:) Dad had a softball game and then the celtics game. Amelia wore her new green outfit to support the Green Machines, which they won!!!!!! She also wore it to support her Daddy's Celtics, which they won!!!!! 2 for 2! Let's keep our fingers crossed for Tuesday nights game! Look for Straty at the corner of the court behind the Celtics! He'll be the crazy one screaming at all the players. Go Celtics!

It's 4:30am...

I think I'm too old for these late nights, or should I say early mornings? This is my third night in a row staying up till past 3am. The first night I was working, second night girl talk, and tonight we were in HB, where we started at church. The actor who played Jesus in the Passion movie was at my parents church sharing about his life during the filming of that movie and where it's led him today. It's amazing how the Lord works! He and a bunch of other actors created a CD of the New Testament. It's like the movie without watching it. He's currently working on the CD for the Old Testament. If you ever get the chance to see him, I'd highly recommend it. Oh, the newspaper people just drove by to drop off our Sunday paper:) I better stop the pumping and head to bed:) We have Softball and Celtics game later today.

Breakfast...Shopping...Lunch...Shopping...Coffee/Lunch...Shopping...

Today Amelia and I met up with Michelle and Auntie Sarah at Irvine Spectrum. There we walked and shopped and ate (Amelia a few times:) and walked and shopped. Auntie Sarah is teaching our little girl sound effects! Amelia very dramatic and loud around Auntie Sarah. She got her outfit for Sunday. It's green to cheer on the Green Machine softball team Daddy plays on AND it has a basketball on it for the Celtics! It says something like "Daddy's Team Player" on it too. It was on clearance. Oh and we tried the most cutest bathing suit on her! The thing was 12 month and after we stuffed her belly into it, she threw up a little lunch:( Needless to say we didn't get it. She did have fun trying on accessories, like the sunglasses! I Love Auntie bib, of course was a given, we had to get it! It was a wonderful day!

Celtics vs. Lakers.....Daddy vs. Auntie Missy!!!!

It went by so fast, it was all a blurr!!!!:) I crack myself up. I just love Missy's expression, even if it's a messy photo. She came to our neck of the woods for a rival dinner. Is that correct? Rival....anyway she loves the Lakers and Straty Loves the Celtics. Game 2 Sunday! Is there room for some White Trash in HB this weekend...I think we're coming!!!!

Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback on the blog and emails about crib, baths and such. The transition to the crib is more for me:) She's always taken her naps in the big crib and recently started sleeping the 8-11pm shift there as well. I'm sure she'll do just fine, the question is will mommy:) The things they create for babies!!! It's crazy.

Blaw Blaw Blaw...

That's how I feel today. We took our morning walk and lit'l miss Hazel May "drama queen" flopped on her side and wouldn't budge! She did this a couple times in our last walks. One time Straty was coming home from work for lunch and had to pick her up, because she was so tired. Amelia watched her Maple Tree for awhile today, along with the grape vines, which are producing grapes!!!! She spent time on da belly and playing with her jungle set. I think I need to get her blocks or something a little more exciting then what she has. She loves kicking her feet up in the air and reaching out for things. Any suggestions on toys for a 4.5 month baby? After all that business, she and the dogs took a nap upstairs while I vacuumed the upstairs. Amelia likes to sleep on her side, like the dogs. If you click on the picture, you'll see she's sleeping with Miss Bunny and there's a big ole CAUTION tag stating don't let baby sleep with object.... Hopefully that's the only habit she picks up from them:) I cleaned the nursery top to bottom today, mentally preparing myself for her move. I don't think it'll happen tonight, since I'm feeling blaw blaw blaw!!! Amelia had her bath tonight and totally had me laughing. She outgrew her baby tub, so we moved her to the kitchen sink. I was still filling up the sink when she reached out for the running water from the faucet. She was so excited about. Then she started splashing around! She was having a ton of fun. She loved the running water over her belly. She's fast a sleep right now. God is so amazing...I prayed over her, like I normally do and every time I end with "Jesus Loves You Amelia, Jesus Loves you." She melted my heart with this big ole smile tonight. Her life is such a blessing! I love her so much. I'm off to the store!
