Ah, it's finally feeling like Fall

Sorry, I haven't downloaded photos lately. I stole this from McKown's FB. Miranda had her Rock Star birthday party last Saturday. Straty and Amelia went, while I went to a boot camp training for Stella and Dot. Ame had a blast! She is becoming quite the singer. Her songs are very dramatic with highs and lows. She also uses her hands a lot and has started dancing to her singing, as well. Straty and I were just talking tonight about her beautiful face. Somehow she has a big scratch on her forehead and one between her eyes. Then while playing with Hazel she ate it into the ottoman. Yesterday she timbered backwards onto the tile after I turned around and she was right behind me! Not seeing her, I took her out:( Tonight she walked right into a counter and now has a little bump on her head. We think it's time to put her into a helmet. She walks without looking. She's so funny though. She's full of expression and feelings. Like when she's watching a show and the character falls or flies, she breaks out into "Uh-ohhhhhhh" and becomes very worried. Any suggestions on good sing a long dvd's?

On the other hand, Baby Hadj II is very happy in the belly. We had a big check up this week and got an A. The cervix is 50% gone, I'm 1 cm dialated and .5 cm something else. Baby is head down but no where near the birthing canal. Doc says it's no wonder why the grocery store clerk asked if I was sure I wasn't having twins. Or why everyone thinks this is a BIG baby. Baby Hadj II is residing nicely right under my ribs. She has not made any arrangements for departure. With that being said November 4th will most likely come and go. He's thinking November 9th or 10th. What the crap!!!! (as sister Krista would say) That's crap crap crap!!! (as sister Sarah would say). My feelings....well, call Missy and she'll tell it like it is:) How am I feeling? Ready, but not really ready. My ciatic nerve is killing me, so I'm on tylenol. I can't sleep in an inclined back position, because baby crushes kidneys and spine. Right side isn't even an option and left side now has a kink in the neck/shoulder. I don't enjoy sleep. My best sleep is Amelia's nap time. I washed all of the neutral baby clothes. I can't believe Ame fit in them. Well some of them. She never wore the 0-3 months, due to length. We are now having a baby shower October 24th. At first I didn't want one, but was in this silly mind set of celebrating life with Ame before baby comes. I was reminded that Baby Hadj II is a celebration as well and another great way to teach Amelia how she's going to be a big sister. She knows the baby is in mommy's belly, but the looks of this house, shows no signs of another baby joining us. On another note, Ame went potty on the toilet today! Poop and Pee:))))) I think she's ready, so we're going to give it a try. She runs in the bathroom when I tell her I have to go potty. She slams the door shut and hands you the toilet paper! Such a doll. She takes her job very seriously! If she thinks your time is up, she'll try to shove you off the toilet. She's a hoot.

BTW thanks Aunt Stella for the Peanut Butter Kiss location. A sighting was made yesterday at Wallmart. A crazed Grandma was running through the isles with a bag! We left with four bags. Well, maybe 3 and 3/4ths bags:) YUMMY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YAIYA!!!!

Today is Yaiya's birthday! A little birdie told us she's off to a Greek Festival! Wish we could be there. Amelia loves her olives!!!!! We hope you have a wonderful day and find some great yummies at the festival! We love you so very much and can't wait to see you and Papou soon!

Soon...we have a month left until Baby Hadj II is suppose to arrive!!!! We have much to do. Slowly but surely we'll get there. Amelia, the dogs and I have enjoyed walking with the McKowns and getting out to different places. This week we're chill'n at home. Amelia captured a cold. Probably from daddy or a kid a tumble class. Tumble class has been great for Amelia. She's enjoyed meeting new kids and learning new moves.

The weather is cooling down. The afternoons seem a bit hot, but probably just to me. Baby Hadj II is growing and moving. Each time SHE moves across the belly SHE grazes across the organs or puts pressure on the back. It's entertaining. What's up with the voting more boy votes then girl? I'm so sorry you'll all be sadly mistaken!!!!!!

Grandma and Grandpa return from their vacation...

Amelia loved watching the luggage come down on the belt

She also had fun running into daddy's arms, except for the minor face plant into the carpet, which gave her a good ole rug burn.
And of course she entertained us with drums and song
In the end, she was most excited her Grandma and Grandpa were home!!!!!

Up to no good!!!!!

Amelia loves crushed ice. After her AM naps, she'll watch Sesame St. and have ice with juice, while I finish getting ready. AM naps is when I get to do house stuff and such...

She loves her red peppers

Serious shot

While Daddy was gone on a golf tournament last week, we decided to make dinner ourselves. Not such a good idea. SOMEONE took the mustard, so our half made meatloaf sat in the fridge for a day, which is why the next night our meatleaf wasn't so firm. Ame had fun making the sauce though.

Thanks to Miranda, Ame has a doll house. She loves playing with it.

Even half naked! Fighting the heat:)

Note to mommy: When eating lunch, make sure to give your full attention to Ame, esp. when mustard and ketchup are involved:) She had fun painting her arms, face and shirt. No honey, it's not lotion.

It's been a year...

I can't believe it's been over a year, since we moved to HB.  The first day in our new home was 9/9/08.  I decided to read last year's blog posts, knowing it's been a year, to kinda recap where life has taken us.  2008 was a crazy year, one I can't believe we did!  January-Amelia, February- sold desert house, September-bought HB house, October-sold RSM house.  What a ride!  I miss RSM house every so often.  The space and all the hard work we put into the place.  I miss the kitchen at times, because of the painting I did on the cabinets and walls, or the arches we had put in.  The amazing sun sets and warm nights, knowing I had a/c running inside:)  I really miss the neighbors, even though now we never talk.  But then comparing it to what we have now, I wouldn't trade to go back.  It's cozy in our home, HOT (1st home we've owned without a/c) and totally fitting to our needs.  The park is paradise for us.   There's so much to do in the park.  We're closer to our family and to church.  We do need to work on our neighbors.  In this house I can't move furniture around as much because there really isn't another place to put it:)  Right now I have the nursery chair in our room with the ottoman wondering where to put it.  I have a desk I need to move, but not sure where to put it:)  So instead of moving things, I leave'em be.  I'll find a place, I just need to pace a few more days.  I can't believe we're going to be adding another little human into this home!  I'm sitting here watching the belly move about, wondering how can I feel movement on both ends of the tummy.  Such a mystery to me.  Anyway, enough of the past...today Amelia and I signed up for Tumble-n-dance class.  It's a 10 week class, full of music and dance.  As long as I don't have to summersaults, we'll be fine:)   Our glass shower walls are up!  Let's pray they stay that way and don't explode again!  I have one more week until I have to be no further then an hour away from home.  We decided we'd better work on our "labor day" plan.  If I do naturally break water, what will be our action plan.  I did put together a book of the Hadj Famliy and Home info.  I bought our first box of new born diapers today!  We need to get out all of Amelia's newborn stuff, including the bed, and get ready for baby Hadj II arrival!  November 4th will be here before we know it!

"Babymoon" in Napa, just the three of us

La Residence Country Inn B&B
We had the Parlor Suite, far right
Beringer Winery

Amelia loved picking the grapes and eating them off the vine
We went to the Petrified Forest.  I had no idea how influenced Calistoga was by Grandma's relative Robert Louis Stevenson.  He has a museum here too.  It's where he honeymooned. I purchased his book about the area.  I thought he just wrote nursery rhymes.

It sprinkled one morning.  We loved it!  Considering the first two days were 95-100!  OUCH
Amelia enjoying some singing time

Old Bank, now Olive Oil Store.  It was my favorite.  Thinking of stoning my walls and adding tin ceilings to the house:)
Amelia getting car crazy!!!  She was such a trooper!  Esp. the ride home. 10.5 hours
She loved the big bed, esp after a warm bath!
Our girl loves water!
Taking a stroll around the grounds of the B&B, perfect for kids.
We stopped on the way to Napa at the Split Pea Soup Restaurant

Baby Hadj II Report

No photos today, just an update.  We are off to Bakersfield today and then tomorrow morning to Napa!  We're really looking forward to this trip.  Things got even cooler!  Straty was making fun of me last night..."You couldn't just go camping, you had to call your Daddy."  The way we say daddy, is more like Daaaaddddeeeeeeee, kinda like how Amelia says it.  Although it's a funny spoiled valley girl way.  Anyway, "daddy" got us into a Bed and Breakfast, called La Residence, Napa.  You have to say Residence like "Rezidance" to make it oh so fancy:)  Our God Family said we could leave our trailer and DOGS at their house.  So the three of us are going on our last "threesome" trip.  Doc yesterday said my cut off is three weeks from my due date for traveling, which make that next weekend.  He did say though since I was 10 days late, he thinks I'll be 5 days late, which would put my travel date even one more week back.  I wasn't too thrilled with the 5 days late thing, since he said I could be induced day of due date.  Anyway, he said lets do a little gambling and hope the baby comes naturally.  I said since we're doing some gambling, I'd like to take my daughter to the pumpkin patch with the Godkids in Oakglenn (if all is still there.)  He said "you're going to take that gamble anyway and go no matter what I say."  Hey if I can dance on Amelia's due date and nothing happens, I don't see why pumpkin hunting could hurt. :)  They may have to push me around in a barrel or drive really fast home:) but the good thing is Angela is taking our birthing photos, so she'd already be there!  I'm so excited.  I was first told not to do the before and during shots, since we already have them, but I really want to photograph this part of our lives.  It's just as important.  So, back to update.  All is great.  Blood pressure, good.  Baby heart rate, 160, good.  She (which doesn't mean anything) scared herself while doc was checking her rate, so it went up a tad.  I have two more two week appts. then we go every week.  Things are going great.  Still need to get a few things organized around the house and purchased for the baby.  We're going to convert the guest room to a nursery, so she has a place to nap during the day.  We'll be getting a white crib with sheets.  We have everything else.  Baby will be with us like Ame was the first 6 plus months.  Ame loves to play in our bedroom, so we need another place for Baby Hadj II to sleep during the day.  It'll stay a guest room for a little bit after she arrives.  Well I think that's it for now.  Lots of moving, which is promised to end as baby grows.  I'd like to stop growing:)  Better get to packing.  I have strict instructions to be ready to roll at 3:30pm, packed, loaded, dogs and baby in car and we're off!  I better get a move on it:)  xoxo  Napa here we come!

Reflections of life

This is where you went when you misbehaved.  Nah, for some reason she loved playing in the doggie pin

Amelia had fun rock climbing

I could have gone on and on with photos.  I wish I knew how to create a slideshow.  There were so many cool shots.  We had fun in our little tin can trailer.  I think we're getting the hang of it.  We are learning what works best for our family in our trailer, since it's a one room all function space.  Hey, we had warm showers this time!!!  It was fun hanging out with the God Family:)  Amelia had a blast, esp with her bud Aubrey.   Aubrey was such a great helper!  We're heading to Napa this weekend for another get away.   On another note, I go in tomorrow to see the Dr. for a check-up on Baby Hadj II.  There's still lots of moving around, growing and growing pains.  It's going by so fast!
