Welcome Home Grandma and Grandpa
Yesterday we took a drive to the airport. We thought it would be fun to surprise Grandma and Grandpa! We thought they may have missed Amelia just a little bit. It was fun seeing their faces. Afterwards we went back to their house to play some WE where I kicked Straty's butt in bowling (not sure how.) Amelia tried on some of the presents Grandma and Grandpa brought home. They say there's a box coming too!!! She's well loved:) I took photos of her shoes, but my computer is once again full!!!!!!!! Crazy.

A walk at the Beach
Saturday afternoon we took a walk at the doggie beach in HB. It's great we're settled in now and able to explore HB, as well as confirm our decision to move to HB. We had a wonderful morning relaxing at home. Daddy made us french toast and cow butt bacon, compliments of a guy at mom's work. The beach was so clear and sunny. Miller had a blast running around meeting new dogs. Hazel tried, but she enjoyed chasing her brother and sitting next to Amelia, protecting her baby.

Mommy and Amelia at Bella Terra
Amelia and I had a picnic at Bella Terra. Well, I had Daphine's a greek restaurant and Amelia ate some of the lamb, rice and fetta cheese, along with her pears and carrots with pasta I made for her. She worked on blowing bubbles with her food. GRRREAAAT!!! After lunch we rolled around the synthetic grass and watched the water fall. Amelia sat in front of the water fall waving her arms and singing to the music. It was as if she was conducting the choir. Afterwards we went to Barnes and Noble to visit Uncle Ted. We had a fun afternoon.

Oktoberfest at Old World
Last Sunday we went to Old World in HB for their Oktoberfest. We drank a beer, shared a bratwurst, listen and danced to a German band, watched the weenier dogs race and saw two old ladies perform acrobats. It was fun getting out and enjoying some of the cool things HB offers. Old World is a little village in HB full of European treats!

9 months has flown by!
Our little Amelia is nine months old. I'm so proud to be her mommy. She's such an amazing little girl. She's growing leaps and bounds. Everyday she's doing something new. Today during tummy time, she got herself on all fours. She tried moving her hands and landed on her belly. I crawled around on the floor to show her how it works. She loves playing ball on the floor and clapping her hands with a big ole smile on her face. Today for lunch, she only wanted to eat finger foods. She's learning to feed herself more than just Cheerios. Ah... she melts my heart. When I wake up and see her sleeping and slowly opens her eyes and smiles at you. Or when she reaches her arms up to the sky waiting for you to pick her up. Or when she tries to communicate, in her baby jibberish way:) I can't believe in just three months she's going to be one! I keep remembering last year during this time, when I was counting down the months, the days. Getting the nursery together, getting excited for the shower and most importantly how my life will change. How Amelia changed my life. I love her so much. PS. I'm working on the photo thing...

Call the plumber, I have a leak!
It's on either side of my nose...the tears won't stop. Tonight was the real deal. We shut the door to the Rancho house and left the key, saying good-bye forever. It just totally broke my heart saying good-bye tonight. It was like I was saying good-bye to 9 amazing years. I know in my heart all those memories will live on inside me and that we will be making many wonderful memories in our new home. It was just a tough night. Plain and simple. I didn't realize how hard it was going to be for me, but it is. I've learned a lot in this past move. Actually I already knew them, I was just reminded that your home is where your heart is, where you family is and it's just four walls. But then I go back to...but it was the four walls that allowed us to have those memories...but it really wasn't, it was the people planning the good times and making them happen, and you can do that at any home, but but but. It boils down to I must read the final sentence in this chapter of our lives, which is praising God for his grace, his timing and his love. Now I must look to him for a new chapter, a new memory and for his timing, love and grace. With God all things are possible. Just knowing the path we took getting to RSM, to the desert, back to RSM and now HB, he's never left us. He's been walking with us the entire time. Again, thank you Lord. I look forward to building on to the friendships we made in RSM and creating new friends in our new neighborhood. I look forward to making wonderful memories (some already made) in our new home. Sorry no new pictures. I have a ton, of course, but I can't down load them. Thanks Dad for the external. Hopefully we'll have photos before you come back from the east coast. Have fun!! Love you guys. Now I must say good night. My eyes are burning. Good night and Good-bye Rancho. Love you always.

Good-bye Rancho
Well, we funded yesterday, meaning the Rancho house is no longer ours. We were there last night loading up the trucks. We enjoyed watching Amelia splashing around in the water on the putting green, as we watched the sunset and opened up a bottle of champagne. Bill came down and we had our final patio night. Thanks Bill for coming. The dresser was just the excuse to get you down there for support:) I know you would have been there anyway. I finished cleaning up the kitchen around 12:30am and then walked the house. "I saw God Today" played on the radio and the tears just flowed. So many memories. "Did we do the right thing?" "HB is going to be wonderful" "Are we crazy to move?" "It's been great in HB already." Back and forth. The hardest is knowing all the love put into that home and all the love it gave back to us with the gatherings of friends and family. Even when it was the six of us sitting in her nursery, daddy reading poetry. I stood out there as it was time to go home, gazing at the stars. God is so good. I was going to miss that night sky. The moon turned orange, so amazing! RSM thank you for the love and wonderful memories. I'm going to miss you very much. I know you are going to make the new owners happy and will be great when they hopefully get to bring a family of their own into you. You will never be forgotten. Lord thank you. I know you are with us every step of the way. It's been a big year for the Hadj's. The arrival of our baby girl, the selling of our Palm Desert home, and now RSM. We are lucky to have sold both homes and fortunate to have purchased the HB home. Most importantly our family and friends are with us no matter where life takes us. Thank you all for being there! XOXOXO
