"Um could someone pass Grandpa the jam for his roll?" I swear when Amelia can talk, I don't think she'll ever stop! She always has so much to say! She even tried reading one of her presents she got and loved the cross given to her. "Thanks for feeding me Auntie Missy!"

Part II of Baby Dedication...
Posted by Jenn at 9:59 PM 0 comments
Let the blogging begin!!!! We now have internet...
So much has happened since our last blog. I'll start with Amelia's Baby Dedication on September 7th. It was a beautiful Sunday! We headed to church to stand in front of the congregation, friends and family to dedicate our lives to our baby girl. To promise to raise her with the Lord as her foundation. Thank you all who attended! It was wonderful to share such a special moment. Amelia of course was great. She had to hold her name card as we walked up on stage. She handed it to Bruce as he introduced her to everyone. Of course the name was pronounced wrong, so daddy corrected Bruce. It was a great laugh. We were given three roses: red for daddy, yellow for mommy and white for baby. Amelia also got her pink bible. After church we headed to grandma and grandpa's house for lunch. What a day!

Happy Birthday Uncle Ted and Kryss!!!!
It's a busy day, well weekend at the Hadj home. Saturday we prepared for the celebration of Kryss' 40th birthday country style. We transferred their backyard to Denim & Diamonds, a favorite country bar of ours and where Kryss and Bill met. It's come and gone. Happy Birthday Kryss! You're an amazing mom and woman. Your spirit is gentle and strong. Love you! Sunday was Amelia's Baby Dedication at church. I fought the tears all morning, thinking of when Bruce married us and now he was going to give us the baby dedication. Amelia looked so beautiful in the yellow dress Grandpa bought her while he was vacationing in Big Bear. She was such a doll up on stage. She did her "Praise Jesus" move with her hands raised and her little squeal. Thanks everyone for coming and mom for making a fabulous lunch! We also Celebrated Uncle Ted's Birthday! Happy Birthday Uncle Ted. Your life is celebrated and appreciated every day by the freedom we have in this country! You're an incredible man, soldier and Uncle to me. Thank you for your love and for your bravery. I'll post pictures soon. I packed the camera cord:) Speaking of packing...it's our last "official" night in RSM as a family, sleeping in our beds. This home of 9 years has given us so much joy, so many memories and I'm so thankful for every day spent here. It's where Straty and I came home to from our honeymoon. Where we grew our family with furry babies. Where we had wonderful gatherings and celebrations. Great fire pits, fabulous foods, and if I can say so, fun parties:) Our first baby girl Madi, RIP. Most importantly it's where we conceived our Amelia and brought her home from the hospital. The nights of rocking her to sleep, our walks collecting golf balls and just relaxing as a family. Thank you Lord for this incredible home. One that is not taken for granted. One that will be cherished for years to come. And one that means so much. I know our home in HB will soon carry fond memories and fun times. We look forward to many years on the park. But this house will always be special, our first family home. All the hard work of making it our own and feeling the warmth it has every time I entered that door. Good bye Telliz, I love you. Thanks for the memories.

Prayer answered
Thanks for all of your prayers! We did get an offer this morning. Of course the price is low, so we're going to counter. We can't tell if they have room to go up, so we're testing the waters. We just hope and pray this is the one and they can go up in price. They have written a second offer on their second choice house as well. We're taking everything into consideration when presenting our counter. It would be so great when moving to HB on Tuesday, knowing the house is sold. Keep your fingers crossed.

The date has been set...we move Tuesday

I love this photo of Miller. It resembles me when I'm outside admiring the view and remembering all the good times in RSM. It's time to move or not move:) We're both ready to start our new adventure in HB. I feel if we prolong it any longer, it would be harder for me to move. Not that I'm not excited to be closer to family, friends and church, it's the RSM house and city I'm going to miss. Of course a home is where you hang your heart and family is, but it's our first house as a married couple and the house we brought Amelia home to and all the blood, sweat and tears in this house. I'm trying not to be materialistic, if that's even the right word, but it's soooo nice to live in a home that fits you. I know I'm being bias, but our home is a great one. So warm and inviting. So much the people who looked at the house last night, came back with their parents tonight. This house is on the top of their list. I'm praying for an offer! The realtor LOVES this house, which doesn't make it any easier:) He says it shows like a model home and loves walking into it. If his clients don't make an offer he wishes he could. He even asked if I'd come decorate his house. I told him if he brought me a solid buyer I would. "I knew you'd say that." Nice guy. I know in time we'll make our new home just as warm and inviting! Speaking of, I better get started on my schedule of events. Another event to plan!!!! Packing, painting, doggie door, packing, cleaning, killing fleas.....A MOVE! Bring the champagne on Tuesday. I'll be ready to drink. I'm enjoying this fast paced stress. Our little Ame is a trooper. Oh and she's got a second tooth! Yaiya, any preference on the color and style of your room? Boo boo, get your danc'n shoes ready! We even have a closet for clothes!!! Thank you to those who helped make this happen. You know who you are. It means a lot to us! Thank you everyone for your prayers and support! XOXO

Just hav'n fun...

During our busy weekend of "Labor" we found some time for play time! Amelia of course still loves to put her toys behind her back. This time, she put so many behind her back she was stuck leaning forward. Silly girl. We also made our way through the busy streets of Old Orange for the International Food Festival. Straty stuck to his greek food. We ate these yummy little deserts filled with honey. I ate an Italian sausage. YUMMY. Of course it wouldn't be great food, if it wasn't paired with some tasty beer. It was a fun dinner adventure.

Busy Weekend...Happy Birthday Eric and Uncle Jim

Wow, it's almost been a week since I've last posted. We've been pretty busy getting the HB house ready for move in. Due to the other pests FLEAS living in the house, we had to make a few changes. One of them being, getting rid of the flea ridden carpet. I've been reading up on fleas and it's going to be a lot of work making sure the house is at it's minimum with fleas. Since we live by the park, we have to be careful. We pulled all of the shrubs and plants out of the yard. They love to live in moist areas and lay their eggs. I also raked the leaves in the park that backed our fence. Straty came down with some sort of rash from an unkown plant. (Mom, I told him to wear long sleeves the second day, and he didn't. I think your son deserves a talk'n to!) We also had the security pool fence installed to ensure the safety of little Amelia and the hounds. That's it for now. We really need to sell the RSM house. We had a showing tonight. Out of 6 homes they've seen, we're in the top two. Lord, please bring us a buyer!!!!! They said we had a model home. The agent asked if I'd do the decorating at his home. Only if you bring me a solid offer and escrow closes, and I'll do it for free:) Anything to make a sell, right? We're converting the garage into a bonus room. All you "S" girls, we'll be flying soon!! Now it's time to pack...
Happy Birthday Eric and Uncle Jim. Hope you had a wonderful and relaxing day celebrating the amazing men that you are! Love you both.

Breaking News...first tooth has hit the surface!!!
Sorry folks, no photo. The tooth is a little camera shy. I thought though I'd share the news, our baby girl is getting her first tooth! I was starting to wonder what was wrong with my happy baby, since the last two days she was upset for no reason, until today while walking on my feet in the flooring showroom, she looked up at me "look mommy I'm standing so tall" with a big ole smile on her face, did I see the pearly white peeking out of her gum. I think the one next to it is planning to pop up too. Stand by for future sightings:)*
