It's me, the life of Jenn...Version II :)

If you read this blog 2 hours ago, it's Jenn being RAW:) Now it's been edited:) I'm nice now:) I'm telling you, you better watch out for me!!!! I'm so ready....I need two blogs...Jenny Brooke RAW and this one.

...this blog was originally for me to journal my pregnancy and all the roller coaster of emotions I was feeling. Now that I've had Amelia, wouldn't you think that roller coaster of emotions would go away? NOT....Man oh man, life has changed for me. More good than bad, but I really need to focus on the bad and take care of it. Like I said, I had no idea your body would go through so many changes during and after Miss Amelia. I'm sitting here, pumping and icing the arches of my feet, with my stiff wrists!!! Yikes...I almost went for the filled bottle of milk for a sip of Joe. Thankfully my Tuscany mug filled with Hazelnut coffee was standing close by:) Seriously though, yesterday I hated life. Not my husband or daughter, but what happened to my body. I seriously was so angry, I wanted so badly for someone to say one word bad and I'd let them have it. Mentally and Physically! I had so much rage. I don't know how to pinpoint the issue and get a grip on it. I'm usually really good at organizing and scheduling things, but not me, not my being. I'm also the person who wants it all fixed at once. I know my body's recovery won't happen over night. It'll take time...I feel bed for Straty. I'm doing everything in my power to keep it in and put on a happy face. I know it will pass and I don't need advise or pep talks on it, PLEASE NO... I just need to deal with it myself. It'll pass, I hope or I'll be in prison for murder:) j/k!!! I need to get back into S Factor as a student. That was my playground and way to process my emotions. Lack of confidence is a HUGE thing in a woman's life. HUGE!!!!!! I see it lacking in other women and how sometimes life can get the best of them because they don't believe in themselves. I look back at who I was before S and during S and now. I was a better woman with S! Sheila needs to come up with something for post pregnant women. Some sort of S Mommy club. All I have to say is Thank you babe and hang in there. Your unconditional love is all I need:) "All I need it love, love, love" :)

I'm sitting here still a little tired, since we didn't rest our heads till 3am. We had a wonderful day going to a home and garden tour in Floral Park, SA and then heading back to the Johnson's to celebrate Michelle's b-day. It was amazing!!! Straty had prepared the Tuscan menu. Boy, when you walked into the house it smelled wonderful!!! The music, the decor, it was all so amazing! How did I get so lucky with an amazing Chef, husband and father to Amelia? Anyway we had a wonderful time. Thanks for the patio:)

Stagecoach is coming, Stagecoach is coming!!!!! I can't wait! I will miss my hubby and baby girl, but I'm so looking forward to a weekend of rednecks! It was last year the same time I found out I was pregnant with Amelia. I assure you this year, I'm not! Yeehawww. Time to kick up the boots, okay it'll be my fancy flip flops....Amelia will have her adventures of fun. She's hanging out with daddy and even having a sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa's house. This girl is going to be on the go and travel when she's old enough:) We're starting her off early! Straty is already talking JMU:) I love taking her places like the farmers market, so she can feel different things. I even let her smell them. I don't know if she can, but it's fun!!!

Why do we make our children call everyone under the sun Auntie and Uncle? We aren't family. What ever happened to the good ole fashion Ms Jenny or Mr Straty? Teaching respect for our elders? We've been talking a lot about school too. So much I tell ya! Anyway...Auntie Cyn, Auntie Sarah, Auntie Krista and Auntie Missy deserve the award and title!!!! I can only speak for myself, but the years of torture Sarah and Krista, even poor Missy went through...I'm so sorry. "Why can't we all just get along?" xoxox. Cyn, I'm sure you have your stories about Straty:) Blood runs thicker than love. Blood carries an unconditional love. I was watching Auntie Sarah with Amelia yesterday, and my heart melted. I know Sarah has this kindred spirit with children, but I'd like to think it's just Amelia:) Amelia loves talking to Auntie Sarah! The joy Amelia has brought into our family, I can't even explain. I can't wait for my sisters... I can't wait to see them with their own child. Tears in my eyes now! Speaking of Amelia...I hear her calling out! Darn, my feet are frozen:) XOXOXOX

Happy Birthday Michelle!!!

Happy Birthday Michelle! Amelia kicks her heels up to you! XOXOXXOXO

Amelia found her tongue!

She's sooooo funny watching her stick her tongue, pull on it and wiggle it! She's talking baby talk even more. It's hilarious watching her talk and listening to the different sounds she makes! She had a wonderful time tonight talking to Auntie Sarah, Grandma and Grandpa. Her cold is still in her nose. I'm beginning to wonder if she's allergic to something. Oh no...no more stinky burgers!!!!! Speaking of.....I spent two hours with a wonderful doctor today! She put it nicely, but I'm falling to pieces:) Old and having a baby will do it to me! She thinks I have carpotunnel (sp) in my right wrist and either a pulled tendon or chipped bone in my left wrist! I have some sort of planter something in the arches of my feet. It's those 6" heels at work:) j/k oh and I'm probably allergic to my laundry soap or fabric softener or maybe my favorite pair of jeans!!! She's running a bunch of tests on me along with having my wrists x-ray. She did recommend a machine for my sinus infections. Amen!!!! It will also hopefully prevent any more colds. Yeah!!!!!

Lady bug Auntie Sarah, Lady bug!

Thursday, Auntie Sarah came over for a visit. We went to Ruby's for a late lunch and walked to the book store. There Auntie Sarah read some books to Amelia. They came across this Ladybug book. The ladybug had wings that crinkled, one of Amelia's favorite things! Amelia started having long conversations today. She's a hoot! This morning after her bath she gave me an ear load! I love it, because she can be so serious. She's getting so big so fast!!!! She LOVES to be sucking on something, even washcloths.

Doc says she's made them her toys...

Amelia for the past week has been tugging on to her ear. For a couple days I thought it was cute how she'd fiddle with her ear, feeling it for the first time. Noticing these cool things hanging on the side of my head!!! Then she became a little violent, tugging and pulling along with the most strangest "ouch that hurts" face. Saturday she was little miss grumpy and then Sunday lost her appetite. At that point, something was wrong. We had a family outing to the doctors office today to find out that Amelia does not have an ear infection, but a mild cold. She has made new toys out of her ears and weighs 16 pounds. HOLY SMOKES!!!! 16 pounds. She's almost doubled in size. She's a growing very tall baby girl. She's a trouper, even with a cold she has a wonderful smile and sleeps like an angel.

AMELIA IS 3 MONTHS TODAY!!

Meet Nordie the Turtle! I decided today while it was warm in the house and Miss Cranky loves to move, we'd take a trip to the mall to cool down. While in Nordstroms, we ran into David Ryan who had to show us this cool bottle friend. His favorite was the Turtle because it reminded him of Finding Nemo. So we picked up a new friend Nordie the Turtle. Amelia LOVES how he feels. She's all about softness and fabrics. One more thing for her to chew on:) She's three months today! I can't believe how fast she is growing. She's an amazing baby girl. HAPPY 3 MONTHS BABY GIRL WE LOVE YOU.

Just another Manic Monday

Boy oh boy...we had a busy weekend!!!! Amelia is still recovering. She was a little pistol today! She couldn't get enough sleep! We did have another busy weekend. Yesterday we woke up, she ate and then we took a LONG family walk with the dogs. Then daddy bathed the dogs. After that, Amelia and Daddy read the newspaper on the patio, on our lovely chaises! Yaya will enjoy them when she comes in a few weeks:) Then we headed to HB to hang out with friends while Amelia hung out with Grandma and Grandpa. Saturday, Straty had a soccer game and then went to the Ducks game. First though we got up at 6am drove to Riverside to pick up Goldie our trailer, then drove to the game. After the game we took Goldie to mom's work for storage. Straty headed out to the Ducks game while Amelia and I met the family in the park for lunch. Then off to Grandma and Grandpa's house to hang out and visit New Orleans. At night a zillion frogs ribbit!!!! It sounds like you're walking by the marshes in New Orleans! It's pretty cool. We didn't get home till midnight and our heads hit the pillow at 1:30am after bottle! Friday night you ask???? Well we went a got a new couch and a couple really nice rocking lazy boys. Green couches leave Thursday. Sad but glad. They were wonderful to sleep on, but you have to sing your body forward with baby in hand to get up and out of them! You should have seen me when I was prego trying to get out of them! I'd slide to the floor and then stand up:) Anyway, it was a price that could not be ignored! After that we headed to Panera for dinner. There is where Amelia starting lifting her knees to her chin almost. It was like she was doing crunches! She smiled and smiled. Speaking of smiles, she has the laugh. I call it the Aunt Stella laugh, which I think Grandma does too. You laugh and then at the end it's a thing in the throat, I can't explain. It's so cute!!!! Anyway there you have it! Our weekend. We're taking it easy next weekend. We've been doing a lot of driving back and forth:) We were watching TV tonight and I could hear one of the dogs panting really loud. I looked at Miller, but his tummy wasn't moving as fast as the breathing was. Not even on Indi or Hazel. Who was it? Amelia was passed out on Daddy's lap. I think after her bath, she had reached exhaustion and given in! Poor baby.

The Princess and her guards

Nap time today. I think the dogs love it more! Amelia helped make daddy lunch today. She was in the carrier on me facing out. She felt the textures of each food item. She was very tired. We went for a walk, blew bubbles, cleaned a bit and did lots of kisses and smiles!!!

Lit'l Miss Innocent...

"Hi Mom, I wasn't doing anything, honest!.........OK Lui the Lion I'm gonna get Mike, SHHHH don't tell or I'll put you on the shelf!.....Got'em! I'm going to chew him like Hazel May chews her toys!" Boy she got him. She tried and tried and talked in frustration and kicked her foot down! Do you think because my other 3 children are dogs, our daughter will act like one? She's already chewing toys! She's so funny. She's growing up so fast! The 14th she'll be 3 months.
