The Duckathon

This weekend we went down to the Huntington Beach Pier and had our duck Strawberry race with about 5000 other ducks in the ocean to the beach sadly she didn't win but finished strong. We had a great picnic at the pavilion and waited for the start of the race. It was a beautiful day.

Mother's Day

What a great day Jenny awoke to her favorite Vanilla Latte and some mother's day gifts from Amelia and Stephanos. Everybody came over for a grilled steak and chicken over a spinach salad (thank you K&D) with grilled asparagus seasoned wonderfully if you ask me good job Amelia. Then we all went out to the park and had the Mothers against the mothers yet to be determined in a four event, winner get bragging rights for the year competition. Great job Krista and Sarah you crushed Carla and Jenny:) After playing in the park and the girls tried unsuccessfully to attack us with water balloons by the way that catch Drew, was awesome, we headed back into the house for amazing desserts courtesy of dessert master chef Sarah. I'm sure Dean is quality control. I only have one picture so far from this great day hopefully my paparazzi will provide me with some more.

More to Come

Hello all, Jenny has been the one updating the blog the majority of the time but due to some computer issues she has only been able to put up some stuff here and there so I the Dad will start to become more active blogging accounts of our lives with our two amazing kids. Two weekends ago I decided to wash the cars that so needed a bath and in the process Amelia asked if she could try "me try daddy" I have to train her early:)

6 months old...

He can sit up, but timbers forward if the wind blows too hard. Sing the high pitches like Mariah Carey. Say over and over "Nigh nigh nigh nigh nigh nigh..." Cry when you leave the room or sees his bottle. Gives you the biggest smile with those sparkly blue eyes when you enter the room. Play with his toes and yells at Mr. Monkey then bites him. He can laugh at daddies bad jokes and when sissy gives him silly faces. He can melt your heart and then steal it! He's my Hot Stuff, now called Slugger. Why? Because he has the best left hook! In the check twice and once in the lips today! He LOVES his big sister! Let's hope they play like this forever!!!!

Bruizer Buster ready for his first boxing match!

Weighing in at 20.1 pounds and standing 2.5 feet tall Stephanos is ready for Stage Two of baby foods! Is mommy? Holy cow no! Heading to the store tonight to make a bunch of food. Doc says he can have noodles and chicken now. Man on Man my little hot stuff is growing! Doc says he's doing awesome, 90% in his class:) Amelia was such the big sister as her baby brother was getting his shot this morning. She laid next to him and kept him laughing, kissing his forehead and loving on him. I'm so proud of my two babies!

Our baby turned 6 months yesterday and he is getting so big his older sister loves to hold him and play with him

Happy Easter! Christos Anesti! / Aleithos Anesti!

I had the joy of taking Amelia and Stephanos to see the Easter bunny yesterday. It's so funny because I had this matching outfit I wanted them to wear, esp. since it is Stephanos' first Easter and Amelia's first as a big sister. Thanks to Auntie Krista and Uncle Drew who drove to the Brea Mall to pick them up, my vision came true! They looked so cute. Amelia had a different dress in mind. She picked out this pick hippy dress. "no mama dis one, pink! No blue." Thanks to Nana she'll be wearing the pink one too:) Back to the Easter Bunny...Amelia was so excited she walked passed the others in line to meet him. She stood there with her fists tight, her little body trembling with joy and a big ole smile on her face. When it was finally her turn to meet him, to grabbed a carrot and offered it to him. Then she asked if he wanted a walleeyah (lollipop). He shook his head yes and she said "otey mommy pay." It was so cute. Amelia and Stephanos were surrounded with love by her Aunties and Uncle Dean. Amelia enjoyed her afternoon and now calls the Easter Bunny, Hop Hop. She still brings up Santa as Ho Ho. It's wonderful she keeps the holidays alive all year long. Last night we prepared our Easter eggs for the traditional Greek Egg cracking. Last year Auntie Missy won. Who will have the title this year? Tomorrow there's an easter egg hunt in the park we're hoping to make it to. Then we have church. Sunday we'll head to Nana and Papa's house for a fabulous family day! Happy Birthdays to Auntie M and Auntie Missy! Love you both!!!

It's been too long...

I've been spending the last hour looking over the past year and a half, reading all the blog posts. It started off in search of when Amelia took her first bite of cereal and when she started to eat pureed food. Stephanos started cereal 3 weeks ago. He hasn't taken a big liking to it as Amelia did. I made green beans tonight for him to try tomorrow. It was great reading through the past and seeing all the ways God has blessed our lives. We have been so lucky! Our children are our pride and joy! Amelia is such an amazing big sister. Today we were on the floor playing and Amelia laid back so Stephanos could lay on top of her. He dove into her cheeks and started slobbering all over her. They both were laughing like crazy! It's incredible to watch Stephanos watch his big sister. He so wants to get up and join her in play time. He loves it when she feeds him his bottle and brings toys to him, to play with. He just laughs and smiles at her. I hope and pray they grow up being best friends. Today Amelia started the "mine" thing. We were walking the kids in their new Bob stroller and Amelia took a hold of Hazel's leash and said "my Hazel." She continued repeating herself. Oh another funny....I asked Amelia if she was mommies girl and she said NO! I said "you're not mommies girl?" "No mommy, I Nana's girl." WHAT!!! She's talking sentences like crazy. We walked out of the bank and she went and stood in the corner. I told her to come here to get into the car. "No mama, go away, I stay here." I asked what she was going to do. "I stay and hold bunny, Nana get me, go Mama." Finally she decided to get into the car. Thanks mom and dad for BOB! Tonight at the dinner table Amelia asked, "where'd Bob go?" It's a great ride!!!!!

Kite Day in Sunny So Cal!

We had such a great day Sunday at the beach. It was the 3rd annual Kite Party and boy did Amelia have a blast! We had lunch at Johnny Rockets and then went to watch a few kite demos. We had the chance to buy a kite and fly it on the beach. There were a 100 kites flying all at once! Amelia's was the white Angel, Papa's was the Orange one and Uncle Dean's was Blue. What a beautiful sunny day! We are so blessed to live in HB! Amelia has had me draw Papa's orange kite both mornings. She talks about wanting to "fly high kite." Stephanos enjoyed talking his baby talk and eating his fingers. He also enjoyed watching all the people and kites. Both are growing up so fast!!!!!

Mr Rain

Rain Rain come again, Amelia loves to play in the rain! We marched and marched around the pool in the rain (3/6)
