It's been too long...

I've been spending the last hour looking over the past year and a half, reading all the blog posts. It started off in search of when Amelia took her first bite of cereal and when she started to eat pureed food. Stephanos started cereal 3 weeks ago. He hasn't taken a big liking to it as Amelia did. I made green beans tonight for him to try tomorrow. It was great reading through the past and seeing all the ways God has blessed our lives. We have been so lucky! Our children are our pride and joy! Amelia is such an amazing big sister. Today we were on the floor playing and Amelia laid back so Stephanos could lay on top of her. He dove into her cheeks and started slobbering all over her. They both were laughing like crazy! It's incredible to watch Stephanos watch his big sister. He so wants to get up and join her in play time. He loves it when she feeds him his bottle and brings toys to him, to play with. He just laughs and smiles at her. I hope and pray they grow up being best friends. Today Amelia started the "mine" thing. We were walking the kids in their new Bob stroller and Amelia took a hold of Hazel's leash and said "my Hazel." She continued repeating herself. Oh another funny....I asked Amelia if she was mommies girl and she said NO! I said "you're not mommies girl?" "No mommy, I Nana's girl." WHAT!!! She's talking sentences like crazy. We walked out of the bank and she went and stood in the corner. I told her to come here to get into the car. "No mama, go away, I stay here." I asked what she was going to do. "I stay and hold bunny, Nana get me, go Mama." Finally she decided to get into the car. Thanks mom and dad for BOB! Tonight at the dinner table Amelia asked, "where'd Bob go?" It's a great ride!!!!!

Kite Day in Sunny So Cal!

We had such a great day Sunday at the beach. It was the 3rd annual Kite Party and boy did Amelia have a blast! We had lunch at Johnny Rockets and then went to watch a few kite demos. We had the chance to buy a kite and fly it on the beach. There were a 100 kites flying all at once! Amelia's was the white Angel, Papa's was the Orange one and Uncle Dean's was Blue. What a beautiful sunny day! We are so blessed to live in HB! Amelia has had me draw Papa's orange kite both mornings. She talks about wanting to "fly high kite." Stephanos enjoyed talking his baby talk and eating his fingers. He also enjoyed watching all the people and kites. Both are growing up so fast!!!!!

Mr Rain

Rain Rain come again, Amelia loves to play in the rain! We marched and marched around the pool in the rain (3/6)

Love is in the air....at The Farm

Babies, Babies, Babies.....Auntie Sarah had the great idea of going to the farm this week. We got to see one day old goats, baby sheep, pigs, cows and Mother Goose with Goober. Amelia's favorite....yep, rocks! She'd pick up little rocks and toss them into the hole where you'd stick your head for a photo op. Her least fav.....Mama Pig! The stall appeared to be empty, until Auntie Sarah and Amelia peeked their heads in for a look and below them was the biggest mama pig ever!!!!! Stephanos enjoyed looking around at all the animals as well. We met the Fairs Mother Goose. She was snuggling with Goober a rescue goose. He had his neck wrapped around hers. Every time she gave him a squeeze he'd make that lovely goose sound:) It was a beautiful sunny day.

Great Grandma's Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies vs Girl Scout Cookies

Amelia and I made Great Grandma Inez's chocolate oatmeal cookies. Just as we were putting the dough on the cookie sheet to be baked, a Girl Scout came to the door with our cookies! Go figure. Amelia couldn't wait for the homemade ones, so she ate a peanut butter Girl Scout cookie instead. I liked the Chocolate Oatmeal ones better. GS don't make'em like they used to. Doesn't stop me from eating them:)

Lunch with more family

We met up with Cyn, Straty's Cousin Mike and Uncle Ted for drinks, a walk downtown and lunch. The Halibut Sandwich was del'ish! After a wonderful afternoon, we headed back home.

Morning fun in Palm Springs

We stayed at the Hyatt Suites DT Palm Springs. Straty and I put the kids to bed and sat on the patio with a beer and people watched. It's amazing what drunks do when they think no-one is looking! In the morning we walked around the resort. The pool was decorated in orange and cream!!!! We went to Ruby's for breakfast. YUMMY...Amelia loved the choo choo train.

Quick trip to Palm Springs

I think our room is "whiii way mama!"

We had dinner with Auntie Mary and Uncle Nick and Auntie Cyn Friday night at No Da Te! Yummy Sushi!!!!! Amelia LOVES Soy Beans. It was such a great visit. Uncle Nick and Amelia were tear'n up the streets as they danced. She's such the entertainer! The end of our visit was full of hugs!!!! Amelia is very fond of her Great Auntie and Uncle. I think Uncle Nick got 3 hugs and a kiss! xoxoxo Later Amelia asked "where'd un Nick go?" Looking forward to another visit next month. We enjoyed Palm Springs and have booked a week in April. We're hoping to get out there in March though, even if it's just for the night. As you can see Amelia, loves to travel. She pulled her own suit case and made it on the elevator herself. Such a cutie!
